Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

My name is Michael and I got a situation here, The girl I like has a boyfriend.
I know this is common, but I've been talking to her friends and they told me
that she isn't close to break up with him. I had been thinking on leaving her
but I think she has become more than a crush, I dont know if I'm in the
friendzone or what, she has never called me a friend, she is always so warm with
me and I flirt with her and she flirts back . So anyway, yesterday we were at
this party and her boyfriend wasn't there, so we danced and all, and I was
thinking and making up my mind of just letting her go, but when we were out of
the dancefloor I lent her my jacket and when she put it on she asked if I was
cold, I said no but she just moved in and hugged me, that made me go crazy; I
was thinking about not being interested in her anymore and she hugs me in front
of everyone as if I was his boyfriend, I hugged back, but I didn't know what to
think now. We hugged for like 10 minutes and then each one went to their
respective house. She doesn't look like a cheater, and all I've heard from
people, friends and non-friends makes me sure of that, but they also told me she
has some guys behind her although they seem pathetic. So my question is... What
do I do now? Am I in the friendzone? Why does she make me believe that I got a
chance by hugging me? but most importantly, I need advice on what to do, I am so
confused if to wait because it "seems" like there might be something between us,
or just try to move on

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Seems like you have the ol' "oneitis".

I'm going to try not to be harsh.

Friend, she's not the one.

Any girl that is already taken is not worth the struggle if you are looking for a true relationship.
We are not looking to make every girl attracted to us, or even simply any SPECIFIC girl attracted to us, here. We are simply looking to get rid of the ones who aren't attracted to us, which immediately do not fit the category of "girls who would go well with me" and with that, the mass attraction seems to just spread once you stop paying attention to anyone.

Learn something: Girls won't be attracted to you EVER unless they are initially attracted to you to begin with. If you ruin that attraction by acting like a huge vagina, or "nice guy", you will never get her again. She will always think of you as "wimp" unless you make every other girl around her think otherwise.

My advice? If you don't want to be attracted to a girl that is already taken, just move on. There's literally 7 billion other girls out there. There's many for you.

Also, a hug means nothing. It means you're her friend. Friends hug friends. I've seen even some friends cuddle with friends. If a girl cuddles with you and she has a boyfriend, it's highly likely that she's just looking for some warmth and physicality while her boyfriend is not there, and she knows you'll give it to her.

Listen, if this girl ever decides to try to KISS YOU, back off. Don't let her do it. Let that girl know that you won't be used, and don't allow any girl to use you.

You should also do the No-contact challenge. Drop off the face of the Earth. Stop talking to her. Delete her from your phone, Facebook, etc.
This will help you stop being so addicted to her, and it will also make her wonder where the fvck you went and most likely miss your attention (assuming you give her attention, which wouldn't be surprising.)

Spin plates, meaning: Go out and talk to other girls. This will keep you from thinking any girl is "the one". Basically, plates are the ultimate vaccine for oneitis (pronounced "wun-EYE-tis").

You're a MAN now, friend, not a wimpy little kid.

I hope I could help, honestly. I was in that spot about a year ago.

Namaste.

hugging means sh!t. on the other hand it doesnt matter anyways. you want her, so go for her. take a risk. if she doesnt requite your feelings you ll see. and SHOW DONT TELL. means you dont explain her your feelings and sh!t you instead make a move, be more physical, eventually kiss her. she huggs me like that? i take the opportunity and kiss her. it is either this or that, there is no middle ground.

bottom line: if you think there is something between the two of you, you have to test it in order to find out.
