Off limits topics

I'm looking for a better understanding of topics that are off limits here and why. Mostly the why part.

I see a lot of threads getting locked that don't seem to be breaking any forum rules or going off the rails into fights and insults. For instance, we are not allowed to talk about Poon King or members that get banned it seems. I don't understand why. When people break the rules and get banned for legitimate reasons, I think discussion should be encouraged so that others members don't repeat their mistakes.

I thought this was one of the few forums where guys could have honest conversations. This part of the site is called Anything Else but the name is misleading since you can't really talk about Anything Else. I just want to understand. Not trying to start any drama or arguments.

Edit: Ah I didn't see the previous thread that had been opened. I think everything and more has been said on that topic. It's old news now. If you still don't understand everything with regards to that topic, I don't think anyone here can help you. Perhaps some therapy is what you need. Face to face time with someone. It's good to talk. Helps the grieving process.

Why do you have to be nasty about it?

Poon King is not my idol. I only started reading his posts recently when people kept talking about him and one member even told me directly to read his posts.

I don't understand why everyone is so sensitive and uncomfortable when people ask simple questions. I'm just asking a simple question or two. You don't need to be a douche about it. This is why threads go off the rails. Immature posters who can't have a discussion without going on the attack.

At a guess I would say you have no male friends in your life or not much contact with men.....you seem very highly strung and someone who's not used to any kind of banter......

2. Incomprehensible ......that you and other men cannot see the reasons
3. Scary.......the "cult factor"

This is the modus operandi of the extreme MGTOW posters: cynical, chicken little, black and white theory based posts regurgitated over and over and over......never based on their real life experience.....always based on a one sized fits all theory.......conspiracy hate filled posts........and not opinions......posts that say this is fact because I say so........and when somebody does not agree with the extreme MGTOW poster's "facts"? The usual response if to "shame" the challenger.....in the case of the poster that you're referring to does was done both directly and indirectly...........directly "you're a beta fagg0t..".......indirectly ......"only a beta fagg0t would think otherwise"....

....the restult......the impressionable and those that can't think for themselves (or those who 1. feared being shamed 2. felt "alpha by association) would lap that ****e up.........especially for the newly hurt...(the recently dumped etc) they hear this and think "yes it is true! all women are the devil!!!!" and the hurt that the felt is turned into boisterous anger............

...it's funny that you write something like "immature posters who can't have a discussion without going on the attack".........this indicates that you know already the very reason why your friend got a permanent ban

by the way, that's not the only projection in your post.............I hope you were not offended again........remember you can always go out and buy yourself a brand new pair of shoes if you're feeling blue. Keep the chin up.

I also think the forum just lost one of its top, most clear and concise posters, especially for new guys. In other words, a successful frame push by the purple pill on this site. Ah well, at least we can enjoy the sage advice of the people who wanted him gone

He had to get banned in the end. If he changed his frame he would be a hypocrite. He told guys to live on their own terms so he had to be an example of that himself I think.

I'm surprised this fanboy hasn't started capitalizing the pronoun "he" when referring to his fallen idol that he's making a
martyr of....

Prisons are full of hate filled azzholes and outcasts who still believe they are living totally "on their terms".....making no positive contribution to

I'll say this seen as I'm in the thread and on the off chance that implication is being applied in my direction......personally I've never reported anyone, neither do I have anyone on ignore.....neither do I follow anyone....(personally I tended to not pay that much attention to his threads and had only one "clash" with the banned poster....simply when he misconstrued something I had written (to someone else) and he answered based on his misunderstanding of what I said.......When I simply pointed this out, that he'd misread......he went on his usual "oh your having an emotional meltdown rant..." that was his stock answer when he felt he was being questioned (typical projection....he was getting annoyed and projecting....)

Why am I saying that......this fanboy is looking for a reason........it was discussed the constant barrage of "fagg0t, fagg0t, fagg0t, fagg0t......." again this has been discussed......it was like someone with tourette syndrome........"fagg0t fagg0t fagg0t...."...........From what I understand from reading the threads (again how this poster does not understand is beyond me) he was warned about this...........think about: If someone you didn't know called you a fagg0t in the street.......he'd get fvcking slapped...........when someone does it on the internet......it's a clear sign they are a fvcking coward.................warned about it and then in the thread that he was telling certain moderators that they are hypocrites and should no longer be moderators (..................).......he implied that whatever posters reported him.....were.....fagg0ts.................so this fanboy can paint it as if he was living by his own rules if he wants........or he can see it for what it is........really dumb and pig ignorant mentality...

There is no prohibition against intelligently talking about bannings in general, as long as they are civil. This particular subject has been talked about and argued about endlessly. It's time for us to move on.

I'm not even really looking to talk about Poon King. I just want to know why a discussion has to end because certain people are tired of talking about it? Why can't those people just avoid the thread? As long as no rules are being broken the conversation should continue until it naturally ends.

The forum has been arguing about PK endlessly. Everybody has had a say, and we have to move on at this point. These threads inevitably degenerate into fistfights and we mods have to constantly deal with it.

You have said nothing wrong, but we as a community need to move on. It's not about being tired of talking about it, but rather stopping the endless stream of arguments. The decision we mods made is final after monumental efforts to keep him here. We've got to get past this now and look ahead, and I'd appreciate your guys help in doing this.
