I got into a huge debate with some of my more liberal friends over this. Here's the thing they can't seem to understand. 1. The BSA is a private organization.

2. The BSA does not allow girls in the boy scouts, they ahve the girl scouts for that.

3. Young boys with raging hormones should not be placed in close quarters with those they are attracted to unsupervised. Boys have to share tents and close quarters.

4. Scoutmasters and the BSA will be held responsible for unwanted sexual advances from gay scouts. Which is part of the reason they keep boys and girls separate. Who want's to deal with that headache?

5. If someone has a belief. Asking them to change it for your belief is just as offensive as you asking them you to change your belief is. Therefore shaming them with names like homophobic or in the closet or bigot does nothing to help win your case.

6. Being intolerant of the intolerant is still intolerance.



Not one of them seemed to get my point and branded me a homophobe. Well **** those guys.

Radical rightism is never anything more than the trump card of the elite. They play it when the petty rich get too big for their britches.

Radical leftism is how the petty rich make a power play against the elite.

As long as a man's status is determined by possession of things, there is no solution for the propertyless majority. Joining a radical cadre may temporarily help a few, but it works only as long as that faction of the propertied class finds them useful. Before and after, their lives are in peril.

Join a local militia on spec? That's not thinking clearly.
