It's called Reverend Insanity, it's a chinese novel about a protagonist who truly focuses on himself and building himself up to immortality. It's also got phenomenal world-building and unlike most of the genre's popular works it ain't some cheap wish-fulfilling garbage about some lucky ass kid getting his harem. I'd personally consider the MC an exaggerated and novel role model. It's got translations on the web and its free. So hey, check it out if you've got the time.
