"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I found something I wrote a couple months ago. It's amazing how much I've changed. I'll share it with you guys.

Note to Self (6.6.15)

"Let me keep it real with myself. First off, I am good enough. I don't need validation from anyone else. Second, I need to stop chasing girls. I am the common denominator in all of my failures. Why am I in such a rush? I need to put things into perspective. I'm tired of stressing pointless issues.

From now on, I will focus my energy on that which I HAVE control over. I can't waste away hoping that a girl likes me, no matter how pretty. I know what I want in this life. I'm going to be all that I can be. I want to be a good, Christian man.

Part of me wants to say, "**** IT!" to all the things that frustrate me. The other part of me wants to confront these issues. I'm on a journey. I like J. Cole's lyric, "Don't let the bridges you cross turn into bridges you burn." I need to accept my struggles and learn to live with regret.

This is the beginning of my life. I finally discovered myself halfway through senior year. Better late than never. What I yearn for is wisdom. I want my past experiences to help me make decisions in the future. I make mistakes all the time and although it pains me, I will learn from them..."

This was my mindset two months ago. A few things have changed. I don't go to church anymore. I've become lazy with that. I lost my faith somewhat. I started going to church and youth group because I met a very cute ginger christian girl. After that didn't work out, I got bored of the whole thing. Yes, I became Christian for a girl. Very funny, right?

Also, I've gotten much more experience since I wrote this. I am less desperate and more outcome independent. I'm getting stronger mentally. I give less fuks now. I've grown a lot in these past two months.

Now, they'll be on the internet forever!
