hey guys, whassup
i've been on vacation for the last month and i brought some weights and a couple of dumbells with me.
the first week i didn't train. i lifted something a couple of times in the second week, then i stopped and now i've been almost 3 weeks not training. i didn't overeat and i did lots of cardio (played basketball and swam everyday, i also had a 2-hours soccer match where i played right wing, so i kept running up and down). i should have lost lots of muscle, but this is not true: actually, i've never looked so awesome

how can this happen? does this mean that all the work with the weights in spring was useless and i would have gotten this body anyway?!

That's pretty normal.

Super-compensation theory shows that muscle can keep repairing and developing up to 21 days after a workout, so its not unbelievable at all.

Most lifters and atheletes are guilty of over-training rather than under-training. These guys train or lift 4 or 5 days a week for the whole year, and see very little gain. Then, after christmas, they all go and break their PB's and then act surprised about it, "I couldn't believe I broke my PB - I haven't trained in 2 weeks!"

Surprise surprise, they've given their body a proper chance to recover, and in 2 weeks have lost no muscle tissue at all.

I always look my biggest/leanest after a week off too (which I take periodically, a complete week off big eating, working out and cardio), my weight rarely changes but I look fantastic.

Often giving your body a rest is the best thing you can do.

i havent had a week off in months. i feel weaker and smaller once i take a few days off. that unusual?

im going to gran canaria this day week for a week so ill rest then (well if you call getting with girls, drinking, partying til the early hours etc... resting!) :)

btw jay-x italy were lucky last wednesday! our formation was an experimental one and messed us up.

great team youve got tho.

the first home loss for ireland since many years. we played 2-2 in holland - it's always a draw against big teams it seems. except the 4-3 vs Mexico and few losses. good time silverwex, come back with a story to tell:cool:

i didnt see the full game.....was not that exciting what i did see....holland was better but the german goals were cool =)
