"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I'll keep this short.

I was talking to a chick in a line while I was trying to get lunch. She was a solid 7, pretty cute in her work attire. Unfortunately.. I messed up in the middle, and threw me off completely. My beginning not so good either..

(Started off asking her what's good to eat here)
Me: What do you do?

Her: I am in music marketing/sales

Me: Your childhood dream?

Her: *laugh* hell no! I always wanted to be a pediatrician

Me: Ah, so one day you were playing doctor with your dolls and decided to start head banging them to music.

Her: *Laugh again* Yeah, and put hip hop on and made them rap insults to each other!

(okay probably need some more interesting openers, but practice is good regardless)
And here is where i blow it .. haha

Me: Don't serial killers play with dolls? You're not a serial killer are you?

Her: Huh ?

Me: Eh, nevermind, bad joke.
(akward silence)

Me: Have a good lunch..

---

So it was a really bad report, thought I'd share, I think I went too heavy..

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I dont think the opener was too much of a problem. Its not too bad, I don't think the words matter so much more the context and you mannerisms.

Ive see the serial killer line used on this forum before and its failed for others but it may work if you followed it up but it looks like you took it to the edge then backed away from it.

I think it should have gone

Me: Don't serial killers play with dolls? You're not a serial killer are you?

Her: Huh?

Me: cos I have a load of dollies in the car, they're yours so long as you dont hurt anyone (said with a cheeky grin)

then if she doesnt react/laugh/play along just plough on to something new.

or

Me: cos I heard the food here sucks and I thought you may go postal on the chef, you have that kinda look in ya eye. What kinda mischief do you like to get up to?

I think the problem was you dropped it and I think thats where this line fails. People think they can just throw this line out and wait for the girl to laugh or roleplay it but unless theres some form of ****y punchline it will just sink.

Yeah I know that one, but the main thing to concentrate on is the fact that you approached. That's a win for the team, like ya say, dust off and try again.

I may have to try the Serial Killer line myself just for s**ts and giggles. She if I can react quick enough.

Good attempt.

It went pretty well until the serial killer part. That one is risky and a gamble. I've called myself one and had it work once, but I don't recommend it lol.

I can also see you were trying a little too hard to bust on her by using the serial killer line.

This is why I'm not a Da vi d D fan. TRYING to make fun of a girl isn't really effective.

Keep talking to girls and tone down (or get rid of) the c&f and you'll be fine.

Good luck man.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hah. Yeah, man. If you're gonna call yourself a criminal, go with bank robber. Or you know, something that doesn't involve eating people.

My thoughts exactly. If there's a naturally opportunity in the conversation to bust the girls chops a little, go for it. But don't TRY. Basically, it's the same as talking to a friend. You don't make an effort to break your friends balls. You just do it if the opportunity to make a joke comes up. If he says something that opens him up to a joke.

Iceberg gets exactly what i'm saying.

When you bust on your buddies in a playful affectionate way, it's spontaneous and rolls off your tongue.

But when you are "trying" to bust on someone they can sense that you are making an effort to take a verbal jab at them. Your chances of insulting them are much higher. I learned that one the hard way so I wanted to pass the info along.

But anyway, props for getting out there and sharing it with us
