Not smooth

Ok, I am not smooth. I know this. I am smart and articulate, but I have the hardest time trying to come up with neg-hits on the fly. I don't think my brain works like that.

Is there anything to compensate for that? Try and push another area or something to work on being witty?

hmm..

Well im actually trying to work on this myself also. Theres no one thing you can do in particular that you can do to increase the trait your looking for. There are a few things however which I think canhelp you out. Number one, try to hangout with people who are witty and whose sense of humor you like. Secondly work on your self confidence, when you are sure of urself then it becomes easier to come out of ur shell and say what you want to. Watch alot of comedy channel. Watch family guy and simpsons and the daily show and comedy standups and try to pick the same topic there joking about and making a ur own joke. keep trying unitl one day you just are amazed at the joke you made and couldnt believe you made it. But when your with ppl though, dont try too hard, comedy cant be forced when its in a free flowing convo.

y'know what I have realized? I have on and off days! Like, days when my sh*t is fully tight and days when I either can't be arsed putting in the effort or just don't know what to say. Last night was an off night, I'm afraid.
