Not combing your hair to look like a "rebel"

Would it be wise to occassionally not comb your hair to show to give a "I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks" impression or would an individual doing this come off as uncouth, perhaps even dirty? Or, is it simply irrelevant? I want to do something appearance-wise that will reveal my new "uncaring" attitude.

Not to offend anyone but I laugh my ass of at my friends that spend an hour to get ready (like btches I swear). Then I see them and there hair is gelled to up to look like they just woke up. I laugh even harder when my ugly bearded ass who really doesn't give a **** pulls more ass then they do. If you dont give a **** then fine you dont give a ****. That whole thing though is not so much an image as it is a true attitude that comes from the inside. When you try to fake "i dont give a ****" it is obvious as hell.

If that is the image your going for then go for it. Just make sure you at least put shampoo in your hair everytime you take a shower.

You are probably right.

The reason I am considering this is because there was a time when I actually didn't care and I never did better with women before that or since I lost that attitude.

I love studying and watching people, especially at bars and clubs and what not. I spent a little time bartending and watched good looking girls get hit on all the time. Let me tell you it was funny as hell. But anyways I if a girl was sitting at the bar getting hit on all the time and turning guys down left and right I would walk usually ask her what they were doing wrong. I was amazed by how many times I heard the "that guy was fake" answer. Women can tell. Especially when it is done way overboard.

I tend to think, and against what a lot of advice on this board will say, that being yourself is a good thing. Or at least being a better version of yourself. When guys try to act alpha, or exude false-confidence or the i dont care attitude and it isn't them then they start to act uncomfortable. It might work up front for awhile but the facade will be dropped eventually. You cant act a certain way unless you are a certain way. At the least you have to be becoming a certain way.

I know that was way off on a tangent but I think it is still relevant to the essence of your question. You had this attitude before (and it worked) so just go back to what you were doing before. You really dont need anyones advice if you already know what to do.

I know this skinny white boy (6 feet 2, 140lbs) who struts while walking and listens to rap music (your basic nerd whitey wigga) - he is balding and looks like 30 despite he is 20 something. Anyways, he enjoys trying to put me down like my shoes or my jeans , but I always retort that the only way he can touch a girl is if he spends $100 a strip clubs which he does once a month.

He pretends to act tough and silent/strong type, but if you ignore one of his phone calls he keeps calling like a little baby, and if a girl approaches him he's alll silent and like a puppy.

I don't wear my hair long enough to comb at all. Too much work. I get a number 3 all the way around, then let it go for about 1-2 months, then cut it again. If I had more money or clippers I'd get it cut every 2 wks or so.

Good point... I've also had the most success while just "being myself"... I've just found that I'm not able to revert to being myself anymore, pretty weird...
