Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
What? I feel like this sentence is missing a word, so I can't understand it.NorwegianDJ said:Keep in mind that I've been of the skinnyguy program this whole time.
No word is missing. What Im saying is that I was on the skinnyguy program during these 6 months, apart from the past week.amohield said:What? I feel like this sentence is missing a word, so I can't understand it.

I suspect it's a matter of how you're built. You probably have long skinny arms like I do. Bench pressing will naturally not be your thing in that case, but it's still doable. It's supposed to get easier as you get stronger though, according to this guy I know who lifts.NorwegianDJ said:Bench press: 3x5x50 (I suck at benching, I suspect Im doing something major wrong, but I cannot complain at my form).
Maybe, but I dont want to put up excuses yet.novaknight said:I suspect it's a matter of how you're built. You probably have long skinny arms like I do.
Cape Town, South-Africa. It's a big city, yet it's so small. What I mean is that while its a lot of people in it, it feels like a much smaller social ground. Ehh, I mean that you're very interconnected and often have mutual friends etc.BPH said:Where do you live that you meet so many hotties and have parties all the time?

Yeah, it is like that. Its not many schools in Cape Town (like 10 major ones), which are "close-knit" I suppose. However, my school is not. Noone even knows of my school.amohield said:You get a lot of that kind of thing overseas. Close knit groups across a few schools.
Cause Im just that awesome.amohield said:Why do you have so many visitors?
Right, about that...NorweigianDJ said:Cause Im just that awesome.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
