No pumps during chest workout but sore chest next day?

Hello,

I'm 2 months into a bulking phase, and I've noticed that on days that I work my chest I don't get pumps during the workout (in fact, I can even do pushups after the workout and my chest doesn't feel worked at all), but the next day my chest is as sore as the other bodyparts I was working the previous day. This is the only muscle group I have this problem with - all the other muscle groups either begin to feel sore shortly after the workout, or not at all, even the next day. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there anything I might be doing wrong?

Pumps have nothing to do with getting sore, and vice versa.. and neither of them are an indicator of a stimulating workout - all you have to worry about is putting more weight or reps on the bar over time. If you're gaining strength, then soreness and pumps are neither here nor there. :)

pumps just make me sad that i go back to being a tiny ruckus when it wears off
