“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

No more excuses- quit NOW.

Just quit smoking on Monday.

All good so far. Did 2 days on the patch, but since that I've been clear, not even tempted to have a smoke.

I can breathe so much easier in the gym, and in every part of whatever I do already.

Just wanted to share, see if any other smokers wanna become ex smokers. Cos let's face it, there's nothing good about it.

Buff preaching from me. Join if you feel like it, post if you already quit too.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Congrats, I'm actually a pack a day smoker myself. I recently talked to my doctor and got a prescription for Chantix, should go and pick it up soon...

I smoked for 5 years and was at about a pack and a half before I quit (22 days ago). I did it cold turkey and have no regrets at all.

I'd say lose the patch and go cold turkey man. Check out http://www.whyquit.com It'll have everything you need to quit there. Being on the patch/gums pretty much makes you addicted to those instead of cigs, and you'll be in withdrawal for the rest of your life. You need to completely flush out all nicotine from your body (which will take 72 hours). After that, things get a lot easier.. but you will still have cranky moments, and still thinking about smoking.

My timeline so far pretty much went like this..

Day 1 - Annoying but not too bad
Day 2 - Worse, grumpy
Day 3 - All I could think about was smoking.. the worst day ever
Day 4 - Grumpy.. thought about smoking all day
Day 5 - Getting a little better.. only think about smoking for half the day..

And this continued for about 2 weeks.

I'd say after about day 10 or so.. you only think about smoking maybe 3 times a day. And the episodes only last 3 minutes, but they feel like the longest 3 minutes of your life.

I know 22 days isn't super long as a quitter, but I have no intention of going back. I've quit several times and failed, but I think this one has finally stuck. I hardly even think about smoking now.. the only time I do is when people are around me doing it, I see it on TV/movies (ain't it funny how much more you notice it when you're trying to quit?). or when I get a new "trigger" (something you'll learn about if you follow the advice on whyquit.com)

All I can say is good luck man.. it's hard, but worth it. I got my sense of smell and taste back and I love it.. my breathing is already starting to improve.. I'm less grumpy.. I don't have to go outside in sh!tty weather.. I'm not a SLAVE anymore.

Cheers for the input scars, I did quit for a year before congrats on your 3 week mark . I only used the patch for the first 2 days, now I'm completely clear and barely have the thought to have a cigarette. You are right though - don't want or need them .

What helped me a lot was reading up on other people's stories, and information on the side effects etc.. it might sound weird because all you wanna do is NOT think about smoking but it worked for me. It gave me motivation, and I attacked it as a SMART quitter. I'd be on day 4 and reading charts like http://whyquit.com/whyquit/a_benefits_time_table.html just so I knew what to feel and expect on day 8 etc.. and I would anticipate and picture myself being on day 8 and accomplishing another short term goal. The best advice I have is take it day by day.. if you say "I'm going to quit forever", you'll drive yourself crazy.. just promise yourself not to smoke today. Then do the same thing tomorrow.

And if all else fails.. google image "smokers lungs".. it'll make you never want to smoke again. I used to have to remind myself constantly how damaging that sh!t really is..

Good luck man. Like I said, you got this. Hope to hear an update a month or two from now.

Sure thing - started a detox and training program 6 weeks of bulking. kinda what prompted me to just stop- its one of those things that you think "ill quit tomorrow " or "shiit I need a smoke, ill quit next week".

I decided to stop, same day I started this training.

still, ill update in a few months or whenever -I expect the same from you too.

And @ Krueg- no time like the present bro, jump on the bandwagon.

Been awhile sense I checked this thread, or this forum even.. but I'm still quit.

Lost track of how long, but I think I'm almost 2 months now.

Good luck to everyone!

****** Update ********

Well, Ive still quit. I had a cigarette out with some friends drinking a while back.

And at my friends wedding had a couple cigars. - damn couldnt breath the next day at the gym.

That was it. No smokes sober. all done :D

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Zero nicotine in 2 months after 8 years. I had my last cigarette 4 months ago and it was nasty; cigarette smoke now disgusts me.
