"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I've been somewhat depressed and miserable all winter long. Couped up in the house, no where to go. Work, TV, internet. BORING. Well here we are at May 7th, and the weather has been decent. The temperature hitting the high 70s a few times, but for the most part, mid 60s. That's average for New England though.

I find my self drifting away from hobbies that I've had in the past. Mainly gaming. No more WoW, or 360 gaming. No more rushing out to buy $20 DVD's, instead I just order them for $3 on DirecTV. Although with all habits, I was still trying to get my fix. So the other day I went to EB and decided to try that online Lord of the Rings game. So I'm checking out and this total nerd that's in his 30's is trying to sell me on a Half Life Portals pre-order. I'm thinking to myself my God what is this idiot talking about. Just let me check out in peace.

So as I'm out in the parking lot. It hit me. WHAT am I DOING! In a few more weeks it's going to be a steady 75-85 degrees every day until September. Here I am buying a MMORPG that's going to keep me couped up in the house, it's a wheel and I'm a gerbil. I didn't even open it. I didn't feel like dealing with that guy again so I brought it back the next day.

I returned it, and decided to go shopping for some new clothes. Nothing fancy, but I picked up some sneakers, T's, shorts, etc. Probably spent around $500, but I needed new stuff. Then a funny thing happened. I just stopped and looked around to soak up the atmosphere. I didn't plan to, I just did. Beautiful women everywhere. For the first time in a LONG time, I actually engaged in a conversation while checking out. Here I am, 23 year old, making a woman who's about 40 laugh hysterically. No canned ****, no trying to hard, hell I didn't even know I was doing it at first. Just natural instincts now. Not that it wasn't before, but when you're in a good mood not worrying about the outcome, it's like stealing candy from a baby.

I even find myself drifting away from talking online. My buddy list is down to under 10 people. If it wasn't for 3 close friends, and my sister, I wouldn't ever go on it. Which leads me to something else... There's this girl I've been talking to on AIM. You know the typical type, a friend of a friend. I was interested at first, and we went out once. I wanted to kill myself it was that boring. But I'm not an ass so I still talked to her here and there. Only because we're both good friends with the same person. But lately I haven't been talking. She IM's me and asks how come I don't talk that much anymore. I told her flat out that I'd talk to her as much as she wants (in a somewhat sarcastic tone), but I won't do it couped up in the house all summer, nor will I do it endlessly over the phone. She's like "LOL how then?!" I said "I'll send you a telegram when I'm done enjoying the nice weather." Not even a blip on the radar, especially after going out last week.

It's funny what good weather can do for you. No games, no internet, just life itself. Far more fun if you ask me! Just thought I'd shared this... Anyone else feel like this?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I download DVDs, several months before the release actually becomes public. Weather has nothing to do with it, IMO. Working out is everything. Such as lifting weights, and running, and proper diet. It has everything to do with the mood. It's probably something chemical in your brain, but after you lift you feel on top of the world...

Dude, I came used to live in a place where it rained like 24/7 during the winter time. People straight up commited suicide cause of the weather. No joke. Sunshine puts some sort of chemical in your body that makes you happy. If you don't get sun for a long time, you get depressed.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
