NFL Footballs

I'm considering getting a full-size ball, my hands are just big enough to hold it and throw it properly

does anybody have any experience with balls?

I have three in mind, the NCAA Supreme which is in a blue box and costs $25.

the problem with it is that i can barely grip it, its so slippery, its made out of this cheap rubber thing. even thoguh the ball says composite leather

theres also a NCAA one, which also has supreme on the side but its in a gold box which says "Tackified Composite" and its $75.

i can grip that pretty well

and theres "The Duke" ball, leather, apparantly, and it fells really good in my hands, very easy to hold and grip $150. but i read on the back that sometimes the tack of the leather needs to be rejuvianted with a ball brush. so that got me worried that the leather will wear down and ill end up with a ball that is completely bald and ungrippable

i did some research and the people on amazon who bought some said the duke was slippery, but i didn't see that at all. i thiought it was very grippy. much better than the cheapo ball

does anybody have any experince with these kinds of leather balls?

and what do those white stripes do? the surface is very slippery on those white stripes

The NCAA ball has different dimensions that the NFL football. The college ball is fatter and a little harder to throw. And "composite" anything is plastic.

how could the college ball be fatter and harder to throw?? wouldn't the pros have the harder ball

The specs are supposed to be very similar, but when you hold them both you can tell, the nfl ball is easier to grip and throw.

NFL footballs are longer and skinnier than college balls. This makes it easier to throw an NFL ball but easier to kick an NCAA ball.

I wouldn't worry too much about the warning of the leather wearing, unless you're goin to be playing serious games every week with it.

you know what, i've actually noticed that the NCAA feels a little fatter, i was thinking at the time it was the thick ass ACL lacings. i dont see why people complain about The Duke being slick, it felt very grippy to me. but the lacings were slippery, i liked the ACL ones on the NCAA ball better

just dont want the NFL ball to lose its tackiness
