[Francisco d'Anconia]

What do you guys think of the new page. Personally it took me a few moments of staring in confused disbelief when I saw it. Don't get me wrong, it's clean and efficient, just different.

The old page felt a bit 'homey' while this one feels a bit like a mass market/infomercial type page. What matters most is the content of course, but I was wondering how the rest of the DJs feel about it.

I've been coming here since 2000 and while the old homepage will be missed, change is good.

It is alot quicker to go straight there than the main page then forum

I don't like the new page one bit. It look too much like chick oriented web site. I like the original dark green with yellow highlights. White and blue don't work for me, if feels like I am going to a cheap paid dating advice site. Also the format on the other one is better.

Very much so, that picture is just terrible, and the layout is ok. More empasis should be placed on the forum, and on a more serious view of the page if people are going to take it seriously.

Wow, I just checked it out...and I'm appalled. Whoever the hell was the designer behind it, did a poor-ass job! It doesn't at all reflect on the forum...and the picture at the top left? Come-on-now...

THAT'S IT!!! An underground look, that was the appeal. It was as if this was a secret club that you needed a password or referral to get in. Now it looks like every other 'Miracle Mystery Cure' type site on the Net. Kind of sterile too.

If I were new to the site from a referral from a friend, I would not expect such good content in a site with a home page like this.

The new home page is more consistent with the look and feel of this forum. However, the old forum looked much better than this one and went well with the old main page.

I agree that the new main page looks cheesy and the pic at the top left is very lame. However, I think that the new main page would be more effective at generating some revenue than the old page.

As a semi-professional webdesigner, heres my take:

1-Not centered: Speaks for itself
2-Bad choice of color: Too much white everywhere!Use only 3 shades of the same color plus an extra one to make contrast.
3- Bad menu display: Too much to read for a menu. Begin by removing useless link to Doc. Love.
4-Bad choice of pictures: I think we agree.

All in all: It looks too amateurish to ever be taken seriously by visitors.

I hope the maker of this page didn't pay for the web-designer because I would get the joke if it was April Fools day, but its October.

The new Homepage looks like it took a step back in time rather then forward.
