The other day I was in class (earth science) and the professor said something that really hit me. He said in no uncertain terms that "In 1989 an asteroid come 6 hrs away from hitting the earth. The force would have been greater than the US entire nuclear arsenal." Basically he said that if we were hit by this it would make the human race extinct.
Now this made me think a lot about life and how to live it. What I got from that was this. At any point in time we could die, and our whole species could be wiped out. But even if we werent hit by an asteroid or whatnot, you could walk in front of traffic or be shot by someone trying to rob you, etc. People say that life is precious. I tend to think it is somewhat true, but we need to remember that we are also rather insignificant and mortal. With this in mind i tried to apply it to various aspects of my life and see what I could come up with. And I must say a lot of this can be applied to DJ'ing as a whole.
A lot of people on this site (myself included) have pissed and moaned about things that chicks do or say that you dont know about or are upset about. I used to be frustrated and confused. This is the new way I think now: This could be the end of the line for any of us at any given time. Why the f am I sitting here worrrying about some insignificant, petty broad and her bullsit
when I can live life somewhere else. There's billions of chicks across the world, and I will be god damned if im gonna take one girls crap when there are so many other treats waiting to be discovered
