New here and have a question for ya!

Hey fellas!

I think I screwed up bad.

I brought this chick down to Mpls last week for a concert, we have been friends for only about a year now. She is short on money since she only works a few days a week and has bills stacking up, so I paid for the tickets and the room that we got at the Hilton. I was going to the concert anyway but she wanted to go as well. We had a great time together, however, now I'm starting to think she doesn't see me anymore than a good friend who paid for the trip down. foolish? yes, I know!

Maybe I should have seen the signs earlier, I asked her out once before and she said maybe. I have had "maybe" said to me twice in the past, it usually means a no.

has anyone ever escaped the dreaded friend zone? If so how did you do it?

Should I start dating other women and stop thinking about it? Do I cut off contact or what! I'm just thinking about washing my hands with the whole situation and take it as a lesson learned, but i would really like to know if I have a chance here at all.

Any helpful ideas.............

See that's what I'm saying man! I question too many things. I should have seen it from the start, she said maybe and I was hoping for more. I haven't heard maybe in years so i didn't think much of it.

I have taken her out on several occasions(all paid, yes i know my fault...haha)and all it got me was a simple kiss the first night out. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting anything by going down to Mpls, just thought we could have had a better time than we did. we get out of the concert and hit 1st Ave Night Club, stay for one drink and she is tired and wants to go back to the hotel. Sure she had a few drinks at the concert but I was a meal ticket is the way I see it.

Like I said, lesson learned. I have had time to think about it, let's just say i think I have been played. Wasn't expecting that is all.

Here's a grand tip. Whenever going on the first date, set the standard. Don't splurge. If you're going to spoil her on the first date to the T, she's going to expect that the second time.

When a girl says "maybe," it will always mean no. It's just a more polite and harmless way to decline.

Cut off your pursuit in dating her; go for other women. Keep her as a friend if you want, but then again, do you want cheap bastards around you?

I had to bump this!!

Well fellas, I cut off all contact with her after posting that. I started actively dating other women and getting myself back out there and hit a new all time high of self confidence! It feels great! I have been out with 2 other women in the last few weeks and somehow it had gotten back to her that I was dating. More than likely from the mutual friends that we have.

Well, some friends and myself were out last night and happen to run into her at the bar. She came up and approached me as soon as we walked in the door. Now let me tell you, that was a completely different woman than what I was used to!!! She was trying to be all affectionate and brushing up against me the entire night. I just played it cool. Sure I was polite and my charming self but more confident as well. I just turned the tables on her.

I have already have had 4 texts messages from her this morning wanting to make plans to go to a mutual friends party. She apparently didn't know that me and some friends were already going. Something tells me she will be looking FINE AS HELL tonight!!! I might even have her pay for my drinks tonight!! Haha!

Fellas, all I can say is if your stuck in that friend zone....GET OUT AND START DATING OTHER WOMEN! It works!! Cut off any contact with her as well if only for a few weeks, she will see you in a different light, I can almost promise you that!

Good to hear man! Let the first time be a lesson... Never splurge on a girl! Once in a while its ok of course, but not all the time, otherwise she will lose respect for you and the its game over.
