"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Ok heres the deal, haven't had a chick that ive needed advice on in a long time, but I recent started a new summer job and met this cute girl whom is a coworker. From the start I was friendly but remained reserved and mysterious. I know I was deft talked up by the other women whom work there that do know of my achievements on both the academic and athletic aspects. So I had a feeling she would be into me.
Anyways thats irregardless I decided the other day to ask her out just like I would do with any other chick. She accepted and sadly we had to cancell the date b/c of my own personal issues and once b/c of a timming problem on her side, but she did call up and want to set it for the next day which I accepted with some reservations.
Upon going on the date there was alot of touching indirectly either foot grazings wether accidental or not during dinner but occured quite often as well as alot of contact during the course of a movie (her choice not mine, Im not big on movies for a first date but, I did have enough background info on her from work do make it feasible) with her throughout the movie in which she would be basically leaning on me where it got to the point i just put my arm around here, I usually take the 1st date extremly slow to show a slight amount of disinterest to get the girl wanting more for date #2.
Anyways at the end of the evening she asks me not to tell our boss about us going out since she says our boss thinks im into her allready where she doesnt like us doing things together during the job not to mention a relationship would upset the boss even more. I kindly agreed but what startled me is the fact she said relationship and also during the date kidded about marriage which to me bothers me since I assume she can be immature being only 18y/o. What do you ladies and gents feel on that aspect.
More or less I think im in if I make anymore on her its just I dont want to get stuck with someone whos going to hassel me or think its something much more at such an early point in the relationship. Any info will be much appreciated.

if you're after a relationship with this girl i think you should tell her how you feel.
OR maybe she's just scared the boss will not like the idea of you two seeing each other. again, you need to talk to her about it. it's too early to judge really... keep seeing her, then you'll know what she's really like. immature or not.

if you're just after some fun. then who cares! as long as you and her are seeing each other *shrugs*

Don't tell her how you feel, just learn to dodge comments about commitment. Always interject humor into your interactions.

well if he wants a relationship with her. it's always about communication. if you don't talk to one another then what is that? seems pretty weird to me. but all this should come after a couple months of seeing the person. don't wanna get too serious and scare her off now.

yeah my main worry was just the idea of commitment at such an early stage seems kinda extreem to even mention that. Yeah the idea of the boss doesn't bother me, I just have a feeling it was trying to get me to divulge my feelings for her if any. I think I handeled it well when she said "Carol thinks your in love with me".... "ehhe no offense but im not in love with you, your slightly cute (with a sly smile) and I just felt you would be fun to hangout with after work".. Anyways thanks for the imput, yeah I guess ill go out with her a few more times see how it goes, im just worried about making any major moves and then having some1 up my ass 24/7 since work makes her around much more than I need. Ill take it slow with this one.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
