"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Hail, lads.
Right, quick question.
New girl is coming to my school this year, we're in the last year (senior year? :p), and so is she.
I've heard she's fairly attractive, so might be worth DJing the situation.
Thing is, I'm sure there will be some other suckers trying to get her attention, what tips do you have for my situation?
In order to get her interest up, over the other dudes, and generally for us to get along well?
She doesn't know anyone, which might help. This is in the case that she's a fun, attractive girl, without a boyfriend, she could be any one of those things or none, so I'm just preparing incase she is :D
She just moved to my town, btw, so that might be a good opportunity with asking her out (show her about :p ).
Anyway, reply soon, school starts tommorow!
Thanks in advance :)

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

The showing her around town/school seems a good idea- just be really friendly, but let her know you're interested.

If, like you say, there'll be loads of other guys hitting on her, then by the end of the first day then she'll probably be sick of cheesy chat up lines...

Just follow the advice I know loads of people have given before- act natural, jokes, compliments etc- a "you look nice today" goes a long way ;).

If it's her first day at a new school in a whole new town, chances are she'll be really overwhelmed by it all- just try and make her feel comfortable- she'll remember you for it.

I agree... sortof

Do all of this, minus the complimenting. And while you should be funny and friendly, don't act like your best friends aka don't talk to much, you mouthpiece! lol You've just met her, she has to earn the right to be your friend.

Ask her questions about where she's from, what she likes things like that. use those great convo skills and keep it rolling. Don't talk about yourself

Hmm.
Ok.
What's an opportunity to ask for her number to further the proceeds?
I'll do this in a few days time, not right now, right now I'll be the the cool, relaxed, friendly guy, not the random wannabe playa like I think the others will be :)
Anyway, thanks guys!
And, er, girl o_O

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Any Parties? Ask her to join YOUR friends. Make it look like you are popular and she HAS to be friends with you guys or she won't be cool in this new town. :)

Uhhh... Just tell her to join you around town and see all the cool stuff.

Make it very discreet when u ask for her number. Use an excuse like "yeah we are all goin out on friday. Give me your number and I'll call you when we are going...." or something.. i dunno.

Dude, I was just reading a tip on how to become friends, then hook up, naturally. It's about becoming her friend, becoming really good friends, then she will be attracted, and really like you, and then you naturally hook up, date, and stay friends.

Of course, I don't have it anymore, but I know senor fingers wrote it, and he is pimp master of the universe.

So maybe if you really were willing to risk the friends zone, which isn't that bad, as long as you are DJing while in it, then befriend her, so you can hang out and get a connection going, and still work your DJ magic, but eventually you will hook up, or soemthing.

I am going to try it anyway, and I know a girl that is new to my school, and stuff, and so am I, so it should work out marvelously.

Give it a try if you really want to get close to her, and can handle it.

But yeah, this is my take on the situation.

The original question was how to seperate yourself from the crowd of potenial threats.

The answer? Own them all, make sure what ever it is you can provide her (i.e. comedy, sex, friends, food, schlong sandwich ect.) is ten times better and more unique than anyone else can ever come up with. Don't be afraid to tear other down if it means getting ahead of them.

It's a dog eat dog world, don't be the poodle!
