Last night my gf ran into one of my ex's at a nutrimetics party thing. My gf said the ex was staring at her all night and asking questions "are we still together, how long we been together"

When gf came home she give me some about how wrong the ex was etc

Unfortunately, you can't invite your ex over for dinner every night.

Your value was raised in your gf's eyes, and she realized you have other options. You can keep that going without your ex around, but the longer you're in a relationship, the less that's possible. It's human nature to take anything for granted if it's around long enough.
