If you do, it will bite you in the ass. Maybe tomorrow, or maybe six months from now. But it will.

For example, you're in an LTR and your gut feeling is that something just ain't right about her. You're going to want to push it to the side and ignore it because everything seems so right. I will tell you now: DON'T DO IT. Listen to your gut, even if you don't know the reason for it. I ignored it many times throughout mine, and it took me until 7 months after breaking up to realize that the gut feelings I was getting (which had to do with her not being totally honest about something) were true. Turns out she was basically a pathological liar. Still is, too, and it's getting even worse according to a mutual friend.

Second relationship... gut feeling told me I was settling, and I shouldn't be going out with her. I ignored it. Big mistake. Relationship lasted only 1 1/2 months, with me not being happy in the relationship. Stupid idea.

I can think of many more times where my gut feeling was right, and I found that out anywhere from a day to a year later, but the point is, LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. It doesn't lie, even if it seems to know something your head does not.

This is why the came up with the phrase "don't hit the steering wheel."

I always follow my gut, as it is always right. The few times that I've ignored my feelings, it always came back to bite me in the ass. One must learn detachment in order to do this, however... kinda like what Obi-Wan Kenobi said to Luke Skywalker, "Don't trust your eyes, they can deceive you... close your eyes and act on instinct!"

Sometimes the hardest things to see are right in front of our faces, and the reason why we can't see them is because we're looking too damn hard. Everything becomes a routine of a routine. Just learn to let go, and let the chips fall where they may. Things seem to workout best that way.

Go with the flow my friends...

No truer word have been spoken! A lot of times I think guy's are afraid to go with their gut feeling because they may be wrong. I find that most of the time our gut feeling is correct. Hell, I'd rather be wrong than get screwed over. Go with the gut feeling. ;)

I shuddered because of how true this is.
