"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

You know, as members, we come to this site, and we read the info, and we apply it. We realize that we can do better, and that there is hope for us. But don't you always have that single nagging subconscious thought that's holding you back? It's that thought, that you have that makes you believe that to get 10s you still have to have a certain level of attractiveness, or a certain height, or be a jock, or talk in a commanding voice, or not be balding, etc. Despite all that confidence that you've gained, and the success that you've had, there is still that one roadblock of "too good to be true" holding you back.

Well guys, I present to you Neil Strauss, Aka Style, writer of "The Game" and pruportedly the absolute best PUA in the world, hands down.

Now, you might have concoted this image in your head of a bald, badass of a guy, who looks sharp, and seems to ooze power just by his physicality. Think again.
Here you go, meet, hear and watch style, as he appeared on "The View".

http://www.panopticist.com/video/the_view.mov

Look at him. He's physically totally sub-par. He's bald, extremely short, 5"6, has a gay, feminine voice, and is as skinny as a KBJ.

Seeing Style, and hearing him for the first time, my walls came crashing down. I now, for the first time, intellectually, and subconsciously KNOW that my success with 10s and 9s is a very real, and very attainable goal.

I hope that this can have the same inspiration for you, as it did for me. It truly isn't "too good to be true" anymore. It's just simply the truth.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Style sucked me into his reality in that clip.

Lisa is hot. Read The Game. He was very frustrated with her before he actually got her =)

Note that despite his physique, he still very much takes care of himself and dresses well, and he's passionate about what he says.

He showed vulnerability a number of times -- "I can't believe I'm teaching this." He had to be unsure to gauge whether they wanted him to continue. He pulled that off without seeming like a know-it-all.

Those women interviewing him went from unsure to attracted over the course of 5 minutes. He's passionate, genuine, authentic,... who wouldn't be attracted to him?

Style's the man... no doubt... and a fantastic writer.

One thing that was never discussed in the book, and I have never heard mentioned was this:

How much, if any, did Style's relationships with and knowledge of celebrities affect his game? Did Style do a lot of "I hung out with Jenna Jameson, Tom Cruise, Dave Navarro, Britney Spears, etc."

That is the only difference I can see that anyone here couldn't replicate. If he never used that either, then my reality is totally broken.

I don't think so. Style has posted many FRs, not to mention the workshops he's winged for, and it was never mentioned that he tried to use his experiences with celebrities. Besides, he wanted to keep Neil very separate from Style, and one of the first things Mystery taught him was that being "Neil the writer" was lame.

Ever since reading The Game, I've wondered what I'd look like with my head shaved

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I personally think this guy is full of crap! The female opinion stuff is ridiculous. This is the problem here--too much thinking and not enough action!

The guy is a total metrosexual, which in itself helps him but also hinders him (alot of women are not attracted to metrosexuals!but you get more tail then your average AFC especially if you got game)

Some observations from the Video:

A) He dresses well. It shows that he has a sense of "style" about him and that alone seprates him from the crowd. If you dress well in a club you will get more noticed (minus the pink shirt! hehe you knew it was coming)

b) He knows how to talk. He is a good conversationalist. He knows how to tell a good story and slowly draw the person in. His got a sense of humor.

C) He is comfertable around women and he is very subtle about hitting on women. Most guys come on too heavy too fast when they meet a girl which eliminates rapport and the mystery. Style's probably approaches them in a very confident and friendly manner and if at first they were'nt that intrested in him, his charm will probably melt their ice shield.

d) He doesn't focus on his own negative attributes but rather enchances his own positive attributes.

After watching this clip, not reading the Game and if his stunning girlfriend hadn't been in the audience I would have changed the channel after the first 30 seconds of the interview and passed the guy off as just another flaming homosexual attempting to 'help' heterosexual men get women by being more metrosexual. Like another spin on Queer Eye. HIs dress and speech are sterotypically effeminate.

But since I do know better I'll have to critique Strauss for being less than masculine, especially for going on the View. Notice the subtle defensive postures these women take from the begining. There's this itchy uncomfortableness throughout the whole interview - an unspoken presumptuousness and ofense that a man "thinks he's got women all figured out", like when the black woman insists on Neil telling her about negs (which she obviously had some prior knowledge of) as if she was ready to poke holes in him after he'd defined them to her (i.e. "go ahead baby", smacks her hand on the table "get to it!"). Then the Bette Midler clone to his left was ready to shoot him down in 'ballsy woman' fashion, ("pretend you meet me in a bar and I'm my usual self") but Strauss defused her fairly effectively. Interstingly enough it was the HB sitting next to Bette Midler who seemed the most receptive to him. In fact the show is almost cliched in the hosts it has. They're feminine characitures - the ballsy loud mouth aging-but-respect-her-overweight-sexiness Bette Midler, the respect demanding Sistah, the Katie Couric intelligence-as-attraction woman and the sweet and lovable naive bimbo.

Pause the MPG when they pan to the audience. With the exception of Strauss' girlfriend and the guy whos probably his agent or publicist, is there a single woman in the audience a guy would sarge or is under 30?

Throughout the entire interview there is this assumed pretense that the very idea that the community, the book, the techniques, and the presumptuousness that a man may have earned some respect for being successful with women is less than legitimate. There's this assumed notion that the very idea that a man (or a community of men) may have discovered some psycho-sociologic understanding of women is aoutomatically a sham. They assume Strauss' girlfriend "fell for it" by getting involved with him - which to her credit she corrects, but only so far in that it preserves her own self perception ("I didn't fall for anything major") and indirectly turns it back on Neil.

RE:

great, so now he's on TV and their talking about his book and everyone in the audience (mostly women) gets a copy on a womans TV show. Kind of like every coaches playbook being advertised at a football stadium full of coaches. What next late night ads for 'The Game?'

Maybe you're not aware, but people like Style are the whole reason this message board exists at all. He and Mystery were essentially pioneers of the art of pickup in any formal sense.

Funny how what you create can turn on you thanks to ignorance. I can't imagine how comments like that must make him feel, but oh well, the same thing happens over at mASF.

So much hatred in this thread... I think it's all just jealousy. How can you call him rediculous? Do you know how many women he's slept with? I could read them off for you... or perhaps you could look at Lisa, his smoking hot girlfried.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

See my above post... also consider that The Game is about the development of the entire community of pickup artists... he was deeply involved in that.

Style worked with Mystery and most of the other greats. He said later it wasn't his idea to be proclaimed as the "world's greatest", but he was being humble, as he's certainly among the best.

What are you his spokesperson? There is no hatred in my reply, just mere opinion--if this threatens you, so be it! I do not live vicariously through these individuals, i go out and make my own success! Although i agree that they do write about some interesting things, their methods overcomplicate the act of getting dates. How do you know this guy is getting tons of girls and dates? Having knowledge about a subject and dating any girl of your choosing, are two different scenarios!

I have seen the above mentioned crap methods applied in the field. Mind you, by individuals who post here--and they failed.........MISERABLY. The girls practically tripped and fell trying to escape these guys!

Girls want fun and excitement, not some moron coming up to them and asking them for their female opinion! The 3 second rule, is the only rule i follow. I approach without hesitation, if the chemistry is there and the girl is fun to talk with, i ask for her #--no more, no less.

If you are friends with this guy, i will bet him $1000.00 he cannot get the caliber of girls he says he can in my neck of the woods.

I disagree. Anyone who is determined to change their success with women will find the info. There is too much on the web for them not to.

And a large % of those who know nothing of "our world" are going to read the book but not make any changes in their lives and will still have limited success with women.
