First of all, you can all sit here and thrash Strauss all you want, but the truth is, he got 375 copies of his DVD, AND he decided to sell them for 4000 dollars, so yeah he makes roughly 1.5 million, minus production costs. You know what I say? Congrats Neil, you actually sold EVERY copy of your DVD in a very short amount of time. He didn't do anything wrong guys. It is supply and demand, and the product will obviously have to be good, or else his loyal customers will ***** and that is no good for Neil in the long run.

I wasn't aware, I guess some of you signed up for an e-mail newsletter from him? I assume it is similar to deAngelo's where he gives some vague advice and then encourages you to buy his series.

The_Knew_Guy: Yeah, you are right, the reason he did only make 375 copies is to make it more valuable, supply and demand. It is the same as a car like the McLaren F1, amazing automobile, fantastic engineering, its a dream car, but only 500 were ever made, at a cost of 1,000,000 a piece, so yeah I would love to own one, but I don't feel conned because I can't afford it. Same goes for the Ferrari Enzo, you had to be INVITED to purchase it for the 1,000,000 dollar price tag. This isn't con artistry, it is damn good business.

Finally, do I think all this marketing of seduction techniques is ridiculous? Yes I do, on one hand these guys are smart to cash in on the fact that there are guys out there ready and willing to pay for any kind of help to get the woman of their dreams. However I too would like to see this stuff more reasonably priced for the average schmo.

Why spend $4,000 when all the advice you ever need is in our bible. Not only that, whatever method this guy is using might work for him, but not necessarily everyone else.

To me, a red flag is raised when ANYONE tries to sell something basic that everyman should have in his nature, such as ability to meet women.

If a man has trouble with that, it's something they are doing that ANYONE who is experienced with women can help him overcome. Guys like Pook, Gio, et al.

And I'd be much more apt to take advice from someone who takes the time to type up hours and hours of advice, WITHOUT PAY, than from someone who is profiting off of it. Thats how you know someone really believes in something.

I've never met any of the legends on this site, but to me they are worth far more than $4,000.

thanks guys

i tended to agree with you guys until I read his website, haha, but do you think he really might have created something that's really so far ahead of Mystery? I think Mystery's material is by far the best...I'll really be curious to see what he has.

ya... pretty fcked.
He learned from all the cats of the community, through solid brotherhood.

But I can't hate too hard.
Homey's tryin to stack some cake. If there are fools that would actually throw down 4g's for his sh!t. Then they get a decent slice of d!ckwad blame also.

We'll see this sh!t on limewire in a month anyways. lol

I thought Style, Mystery et al had already posted tons of free material on Usenet alt.seduction.fast and other forums a few years back. In my mind they have already paid their dues, however aggressively they are selling the same tips today.

I think you've missed the whole point of SoSuave and the whole pick-up information sharing phenomenon. Obviously many guys don't have this knowledge (hence the popularity of porn) as a natural skill set. Also, you're implying that other areas of self-help, such has 'what to do with your life' and 'the way to mental health', don't fall into this bucket. They all do. So-called experts sell basic information about any number of self-help topics all the time. Although I think $4K for a DVD set must be some sort of record, heh heh.

:nervous:

EDIT: Actually, what's the bet that many of those purchases were done by syndicates of guys?
