"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Who else besides Neil Struass will attend? Juggler? Mystery? I know Mystery is from Toronto.

If I go, I might AMOG Mystery just like Tyler Durden did in the book. I'll go "yeah, that tall guy over their will try to impress you with magic. Just go along so he feels important." (just kidding)

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Time is money.

In Neil's book he summed up years of experience. Saved everyone who read it HOURS of time. Gave them advice on what to watch for and how to maximize your success.

You have over 1700 posts. How many hours have you spent on this board? Once again: Time is Money. What if spending 30 dollars on a book saved you HOURS of time of what not to do? It is written by the top guy in the field. How is this not a good investment?

I fail to see the logic in your agrument. So if I spend 300 hours on a message board - that is acceptable. But if I spend 30 dollars on a book that would speed up my learning speed dramatically - that is somehow pathetic?

For me, money is easy to come by. Time - now that is what I am short of.

Very well said. Money is easy to come. For a lot in here, who spend hours and hours looking for free stuff, time is a resource of very little value.

You know, the scarcity mentality. That is like driving around town to find a pair of socks for a dollar less, waste gasoline, your whole day, etc. to cherry pick.

Forget about his thousands of posts here, you overlooked the fact that he's 17, so don't try to help him with logic here. Ok, so the kid is projecting his feelings of inferiority and guilt over having to learn pick up. So he accuses everyone who has the resources to cut time by investing, as being loosers. He's got issues.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Yeah that's exactly it. You hit the nail on the head. I feel guilt and inferiority because I'm learning to pick up girls. I don't caer about girls nemore though.

btw I never said you were losers just because you can buy a book. i'm talking about ppl who buy every seduction thingy in sight.

What are you really learning by buying a book about how to pick up women?

There are certain things that require a lot of patience, and a lot of time, and becoming the kind of man who can put his concerns about women aside takes quite a bit of both of those.

HERE IS MY THEORY: Some of you are severe KBJ's. You can't even handle the fear of walking up to a cashier and paying for a book that has the line "Pick Up Artist" in the title. "Oh dear, I hope she doesn't snicker at me. My life would be over! I can't handle that! wah!"

You get nervous at the thought of even doing this. You decide not to get the book. (Don't say it is the money because I bet a lot of you would puss-out from getting this book at the library)

You don't want to admit to others that this is how chicken sh1t you are. Fvck, I'll bet your even trying to convince yourselves. Which is why you tell us (and yourselves) "oh, I don't need that book - I am beyond that crap."

B.S.

If you are beyond learning, wtf are you doing on this site?

It isn't really about how to pick up women. It is more about the affect that community has on people. It is more of a cautionary tale. Read Style's post on ASF 'the light and dark of the community' for a summary

Agreed. But I can internalize the DJ concepts better if I see them from a variety of sources. Strauss is an excellent writer, and my understanding of 'the game' (no pun intended) is much better after seeing his perspective.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Again, exactly. Most people criticizing the book or getting it, are afraid to actually be seen with it or anything that will be perceived by others as them needing help. I have a female friend, who I will mention below, who has a male co-worker who won't admit he needs help, so he'll tell everyone that he's doing research.

When you have reached the point where you are not affected by walking up to the cashier with any book, or when you don't have to make posts that are titled "My girl discovered this website, what should I do?", etc. then that is the time when you really can say that it is ok to not learn anymore. Ironically, when you reach that point, you will realize that there is always something to learn, regardless of how many seduction systems you want to buy.

I have several of the programs out there, and wouldn't be embarrased to be "caught" by any woman I see. In fact, one of the girls who I was in bed with saw my tv screen right after I accidentally touched the remote control, and it read "Double Your Dating Mastery Program", with a picture of Mystery on half the screen, and said "what is that?", I calmly told her what it was and how I benefit from learning, etc.

Next day she calls and leaves a message "I know it is not our style, but I just wanted to tell you I had a great time last nite and hope we can do it again soon. Please call me when you get a chance."

Another lady I dated is so into me that I play her some of my dvd's, and cd's that I have. She went and bought "The Game", and enjoyed it more because she was familiar with some of the characters. And get this, she is gonna "get us" the Mystery DVD program.

When you handle all your insecurities and live in your own universe, women will adapt to you, period. If you learn the techniques, lines, methods, yet haven't worked on your inner game, they will smell it a mile away, and you will feel the need to "hide" the fact that you are "a looser who has to learn pick up techniques from books."

To answer your first question: you learn how to pick up women!

Second part, I agree, most people will look for the shortcuts and will never benefit on any book, or website, or program as much as they would if they took the time to get his inner issues handled.

DAM, I missed this, too

I'd like to hear about this event, also.

BTW, I wouldn't call people who are willing to INVEST their time and money into learning LOSERS.

I've always been really good with girls, but have made mistakes despite that. I'm sure a lot of those on this board are quite experienced and accomplished PUA's and/or DJ's.

Even these professional PUA's often admit to still making mistakes, and taking a great deal of time and energy into reviewing, reinforcing and improving their skills and techniques.

If you're willing to experiment with new ideas presented in these materials, then you're bolder than 99.9% of people out there, in my mind.
