I got a chicks phone number but I really hate making first phone calls especially because I met her on the street and barely know anything about her. Can you guys give me some tips??? Thanks

3. Get to the point. She already knows why your calling just tell her what you want.(I.E. Doing something together. And not making the headboard break, that will come later.)
4. Wait at least 4 to 5 days to call after you have recieved her phone number and 3 to 7 days after your first date to call.
If your still not feeling confident here's a mock dialouge you can read to give you ideas for how to make the initial phone call go well.
You: "Hey is, so-and-so there."
Girl: "Yeah, its me, who is this."
You: "Its <your name,> we meet a couple of days ago briefly and we agreed that I should give you a call sometime.
Girl: "Oh, right. So what's up?"
You: "Well, I just caught some free time in my busy schedule, and was wondering if you would like to go to (Dinner/Bowling/Putt-Putt/Movies/Coffee House/Bar/Club) and hang out." (If you want to "chat," then the coffee house is your best bet, because its short, and there you can establish a common ground for future get togethers.)
Girl: <Her response.> If she says "No," or "Maybe some other time with out offering to reschedule or counter-offering an activity then you just have to NEXT her.

This advice is pretty much true...don't hang on the phone too long with the girl, ie spending hours and hours on the phone..
Many fellas are gonna tell you that staying on the phone with the girl makes you AFC and shows to the girl that you have nothing better in your life to do than to talk on the telephone...
I tend to agree...but more importantly..if you spend hours on the phone chatting, then, what the heck are you gonna talk about on your date?
Remember...keep the convo 10-20 mins tops...with about 70% you listening and 30% you talking..
Keep the convo FUN...'TELL HER' you will pick her up Friday to go check out that movie, nightclub, pool hall..etc.

I'll admit to this, but if I'm with somebody I really think I'm gonna like, and I don't want my shyness to get in the way, freeze me up, and screw up the conversation, I'll scribble down a few fallback topics on the back of an envelope to keep handy in case of emergency.
Usually I run what I'm going to say through my head first. I hate talking on the phone, but doing that usually does the trick.
The other guys are giving solid advice, although personally I think waiting 4 to 5 days to call after you got the number is a little long. I usually wait until two to three days after to call if I don't know her too well and we just met. If when we just met we happened to have a hell of a good time together, and we clicked tremendously, then I'll call her the next day to take advantage of the fact that she probably is still feeling good about meeting me the day before... that's much rarer but pretty much guaranteed to get a solid date on the books.
