"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Long story short been with my gf for over a year. I live with her I know might be wrong but its actually not that bad. Anyways weve been fighting like any other couple but still the affection level has gone down between us. Should I just act distant cause I think she is a little bit she might feel smothered. I try to do my own thing sometimes. I guess the question is how can I get the affection I once got? should I just back off for a little? Another thing we argue cause shes doin some drugs recreationally. She stopped doing it for a while. You know she doesnt do it that much but no shes starting to once in a while and I say something to hear i really negative reinforce it but then it seems like shes mad at me for saying something and feels like shes being controlled. I say stuff like your friends arent good people cause they influence you and I cant be with someone that does that stuff anymore. I just think it would be really really hard if we broke up it would probably drive me insane. I have no clue what to do I want to move to vegas buy an investment place work for my company out there and play a lot of poker but shes in grad school and cant leave for atleast 1.5 semesters. I have no freakin clue anymore.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

i know this girl who has been with her boyfriend for god knows to long, she recently confesed that she wasnt feeling that spark. Her boyfriend was acting distant and wasnt home very often. Out of the blue she gets a text message that said something like, i love and miss you. She instantly turned giddy because she realized that he was being distant for a reason and it wasnt her.

If you want to be with this girl you need to start figuring out what your next move is going to be.

Otherwise, its what friv said, can you move out. Or better yet, can she move out? What ever the situation is, you might want to have a place of your own already so you can start working on the next girl while she is trying to figure out why you left her.
