Need some advice

Hey guys. There's a girl that doesn't go to the same school as me and we see each other like once a year. She's two years older than me. We've done some things that are more than friendly. I just came back from a trip with her and everything was great, but I screwed up and didn't ask for her number. I've tried to contact her, but so far she's ignored me. I read somewhere here that hesitating makes her more reserved. Do you guys think I've screwed this up or is there some way that it can work out? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
