"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Just to make a long story short (or shorter :D )...
I was totally enamored with a girl at the end of highschool and the beginning of college. We talked all the time and were very close friends. I wanted to take the relationship out of the friend zone so I foolishly told her how I feel (wish I could time travel and beat the AFC out of me). She didn't feel the same way and I lost my closest friend and we fell out of contact and moved away from each other. I became completely devastated.

Fast forward 8 years, I had forgotten all about her and I find her account through the top 8 of a mutual friend on myspace and send her a message. Turns out she moved an hour away from me. We throw back a few messages and I talk to her on the phone once and she mentions her boyfriend. I give up on the idea. Four months later (tonight) she calls me and asks me to see a movie with her.

I went out with her and we joked around a little but I still don't know what the status is of her bf and I didn't really feel a spark. Also, no mention was made of a possible future encounter. She just said she wanted to give me a call because she felt bad she was living in my area for so long and we haven't hung out. Almost like she was fulfilling a social obligation more than anything else.

So, with just this much info, what would you guys do? Call her up and arrange another encounter? I'm worried that I'll get close to her, get friendzoned and repeat the same mistakes of my youth. This girl is very cute and I'm extremely drawn to her but nervous as all hell. I think I'm feeling anxious because I know I'll put her on a pedestal again and become severly depressed again if things don't go well. I don't know how to read tonight's invitation either.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

First impressions last FOREVER.
Hmm, I strongly disagree with this statement.. For example.. if a girl meets a guy who she is extremely attracted to and he plays a really good game and then all of a sudden becomes clingy and needy.. she's gonna lose attraction. The same the other way around. I know I'm taking a big step in disagreeing with one of the boards best posters but I'm going to have to be honest.:)

"First impressions last FOREVER"

I disagree with this comment for I saw an Interview with Cate Blantett whom said she at first hated the guy she is now marriaged to.

It's hard for me to say how strong the impression was that I left. Obviously I wanted to jump her bones the whole night. I haven't seen her in 7 years, so I seriously doubt we were going to start passionately making out or serious kino on a movie date (esp since I talked to her for a whole 5 minutes before the movie). How much time should I give it before I determine whether I've been friendzoned once again? I was thinking about waiting a week, calling her once or twice and asking her to come out with me again and try some serious kino and, if that doesn't work, end it and never look back.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

There is such a thing known as "Relationship Cycling".

It has worked, and is still viable.

You can go from AFC to DJ, and a girl can be attracted to the new you.
You can also be too much of a "Nice" guy, break contact, and then reveal the "new" you to her and she can actually double her interest level.
You can make a so so first impression, and if she is attracted enough, your powers of Self Destruction can be nullified and mitigated.
You can do an AFC move here and there, and a girl with high enough IL will still be attracted to you.
You can buy a woman flowers and a card, and by doing right, by doing it in a confident Masculine manner, can still spark more attraction to you.
You can make a not so great First Impression, but leave here with a magnificent Lasting Second Impression, and with enough true, masculine "Game" from you, can completely override her previous perspective of you.

There is NO Black and White. Advice given here must be taken with a "grain of salt".
Because there is NO SCIENTIFIC, BE ALL END ALL PROOF or unbreakable UNIVERSAL LAW.
Remember that last line. There is very little in our world that can be said is 100% the TRUTH.
Most of what is offered here is observation and speculation.
Do not get overly caught up as the advice given here being some Gospel Truth.
OK?

In the right circumstances, even AFCing yourself. can still be MANAGED and you can STILL COME OUT ON TOP AND GET THE GIRL.

It can happen.

It HAS Happened.

You CAN Make it HAPPEN.

IT is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE.

There is one overiding factor though.

Her Interest Level must be pretty high to start with.
You should at the very least have somethign going on for you.
And you should be doing everything you can to be well read, and well informed, and well groomed, and able to start and hold a conversation.
If you happen to not have these certain things , then you have less and less of a chance to steer the relationship course. You need the citrcumstances and tools to do these things.
Work on that above all else.

Also remember, that common sense MUST be APPLIED.
DO not CONTINUE ANY AFC BEHAVIOR.
Recognize these traits, and gradually eliminate them. Be smart. Take the time to learn and then apply,
Observe your results, and continue to apply what you feel in your gut WORKS.
We are here to get rid of this festering AFC traits, do whatyou can NOW to remove these from your persona. You will find more success with women, and more women attracted to the REAL YOU.
