Dont listen to captain spunky. Being serious around a girl that's shy isn't going to open her up. It doesn't matter if you're really THAT funny or not figuring she likes you. Keep everything light, crack some jokes and show her a good time. She'll relax and that's when you make her feel like she really knows you. Get to know something about her and voila...bust a move.

man, shy girls are easy pickings. and that one dude was wrong, be funny! push-pull technique. you wouldn't think it works on shy girls, but trust me, i've field tested it on many, many shy girls and it works like a charm. the thing with shy girls is, you don't have to make urself the prize u already are. half the battle is done for you! just tease her some and then after you know her a little bit more, demand her number from her. literally...tell her to give it to you. she'll be dreaming of you that night! no joke.
