So I'd like some input from members here, I think mainly I'm targeting the older guys like myself but if you're younger and have something good to add don't let this stop you.
In my church, some like-minded men have come together and decided to form a 'men's group'. Yes, it is very much everything you would expect defined in its mission....no women allowed and essentially trying to crush the message of modern feminism in this country and demonstrating what it means to be a real man.
Now on this forum, such a message would be beneficial for members who are looking to hook up with women. In this case, that isn't really the mission of the group though. We're trying to demonstrate core values inherent in a real man. Since I'm part of this initial founding, I and some others have brainstormed some ideas of what we should do in our first year of existence. We've got some great ideas such as trying to give talks on defining how to be a proper man, what it means to be a man in a relationship or marriage, perhaps making small household repairs for elderly people in our church who cannot afford it, and visiting men in hospice since pretty much only women do this sort of thing.
This wasn't discussed in our first meeting, but after I thought about it some more, I'd like to write a short position paper on what it means to be a man in today's modern world in the U.S. Some of the points I've jotted down and want to cover include:
Lastly what it means to be a father. This is one point that I'll focus on in some detail especially since so many children in this country are raised by a single parent (usually the mother) and how the absence of a father's presence affects both boys and girls.
So I was hoping for input from members here if there might be some points I missed if you can think of any others that might be worth adding, or if you think there might be some specific detail in the points I mentioned that I should cover in my paper.

- self-respect first then extending that respect to others
- honoring your word and demanding the same of other men (try to build a higher standard)
- working to ensure the wholeness of your character and integrity as a person in everything you do
- what it means to assume the role of the head of household in a LTR and marriage, and further extending that to your family.
Lastly what it means to be a father. This is one point that I'll focus on in some detail especially since so many children in this country are raised by a single parent (usually the mother) and how the absence of a father's presence affects both boys and girls.
