Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Hey All,

I find it impossible to approach a women in public. I'm not into the night club scene, so I'm basically going into the deep end with cold approaches.

I know everyone says that it's a numbers game, which I'm not interested in. But this attitude wouldn't really work in public settings such as train or a bus or whatever, cos women in bars expect to be approached.

I basically am looking for advice on how to break the ice. An example, a girl was sitting opposite me with a thick book it had at least 50 postits on the top but I couldn't open at all, which is normal for me. Anyway something happened and her attention left the book. I asked her what she was reading, but I was so nervous and self-aware that I mumbled and it took her 3 times to understand. Bad move. Anyway, she basically told me she wasn't studying, it was a bible and she was marking off the chapters. Then went back to marking her book.

Obviously I stuffed that one. Most people who are on a train or bus are doing something too, reading a book, studying, listening to music etc.

If you've got example FR's for these type of situations, they would be appreciated. And I would prefer ones that you aren't completely 100% confident in the approach as this isn't me and I need to start approaching in order to increase that confidence level.

I know there are no step by steps for approaches but I'm just looking for some basic advice on how I should be opening. I find that if they open or a friend introduces me to one of their friends I can usually make good conversation. My two biggest problems are the opening of the conversation and actually indicating my interest subtletly without getting friendly and then having to make it obvious that I want a date.

use the search funtion on the site. Put Threads started by Username. Fash or Shezz. Check there cold approach FRs. They arer pure class. Gave me alot of confidence as cold approaching is still a ****ty part of my game. I still always seem to choose the friend of a friend option....

I know they will be "over confident" but Shezz made some killer posts on cold approaching with more tips than you will get from everyone online atm.

"Sarging in Nightclubs" was full of good tips by Shezz. Doesnt just apply to nightclubs.

I would get the posts and posts links but A. I cant be arsed B. I want you to look threw them. You will see alot of good stuff there....Trust me!

Hmm, shy now are we?

Now, I personally have no experience just approaching girls in public, but heres something that I think would help you with your anxiety.

Just get a friend and a video camera, and make it your goal to make HILARIOUS stupid clips with both of you, going up to random girls and saying RETARDED things.

Basically, its an EXCUSE to get you to start talking to people, without the expectation that you would be "smooth." After all, you're DELIBERATELY trying to get slapped in the face.

Or, if I were doing it, I'd just put on a clown mask with friends, and go up to random people and start chatting. Does nothing to make you a better conversationalist, but at least you're getting over your fears.

Trust me, having retarded friends is one of the best ways to meet new people.

Edit: Something like this-

Seriously, next time you see a girl on the bus, just fvcking go up to her and tell her you think she is cute. this isn't rocket science. and don't let idiots like ace of flames tell you otherwise, this is the BEST WAY, just be UPFRONT about what you think of her, it isn't THAT FVCKING HARD

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
