Magnatolia
Don Juan
Hey All,
I find it impossible to approach a women in public. I'm not into the night club scene, so I'm basically going into the deep end with cold approaches.
I know everyone says that it's a numbers game, which I'm not interested in. But this attitude wouldn't really work in public settings such as train or a bus or whatever, cos women in bars expect to be approached.
I basically am looking for advice on how to break the ice. An example, a girl was sitting opposite me with a thick book it had at least 50 postits on the top but I couldn't open at all, which is normal for me. Anyway something happened and her attention left the book. I asked her what she was reading, but I was so nervous and self-aware that I mumbled and it took her 3 times to understand. Bad move. Anyway, she basically told me she wasn't studying, it was a bible and she was marking off the chapters. Then went back to marking her book.
Obviously I stuffed that one. Most people who are on a train or bus are doing something too, reading a book, studying, listening to music etc.
If you've got example FR's for these type of situations, they would be appreciated. And I would prefer ones that you aren't completely 100% confident in the approach as this isn't me and I need to start approaching in order to increase that confidence level.
I know there are no step by steps for approaches but I'm just looking for some basic advice on how I should be opening. I find that if they open or a friend introduces me to one of their friends I can usually make good conversation. My two biggest problems are the opening of the conversation and actually indicating my interest subtletly without getting friendly and then having to make it obvious that I want a date.
