"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

A few days ago we received a mail about a school-hosted poker game, and my friend dragged me there. During the game, there was a really hot girl playing too. She has perfect body and cute face. So as I was playing the game, I would glance at her quite a few times and everytime she would glance back at me smiling. While playing I kept making occasional jokes and everyone would burst out laughing, including her. After the game people started leaving, and as she put the cards away she was just looking at me. I didn't feel comfortable asking her out while surrounded by strangers, so I offered to teach her another card game that she didn't yet know.

She agreed, and by the time we finished only me, her, and my friend were left in the room. So on my way out I asked her if she wanted to get together for a cup of coffee sometime. She agreed, so I got her number and we split.

Today I called her and she said she wasn't doing anything, so I offered to meet up today. After half an hour of chatting in Starbucks I offered her to go ice skating. So we went to the ice rink for a while, and after that went to my dorm to play some pool. At about 1 in the morning she said that she was feeling tired and should probably go home. I offered to walk her to her dorm and she said that she was going to ask me that anyway. After we got to her place, she gave me a hug and I offered to do something again tomorrow, she agreed.

I know I kinda screwed up by not kissing her or anything, but I really didn't see any opportunities. Altogether, the date lasted about 6 hours and she said she had a lot of fun. She's intelligent and fun to talk to, so I had no problem conversing with her. She also laughed at just about anything I said that sounded remotely funny, so that's a good sign too. However, tomorrow I want to actually get a few steps further. So I need some help. How exactly do I make the situation happen when it wouldn't be weird for me to just start making out with her? Like what do you guys recommend? I was thinking to maybe invite her to watch a movie alone in my room where I could get some kino in. Thanks.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

the secret is JUST DO IT

she likes you, she is beautiful and takes care of herself, she wants to be touched. she is not some glass menagerie-- she wants her body to be put to use.

dont think, dont be passive, be a friggin CAVE MAN

ok fine i guess you have to use SOME judgment as to when the moment is right
but when the moment is right just go for it.

and i recommend "baby steps":
like start out getting real close, maybe play with her hair or touch her cheek.
everything ok still? is she screaming RAPE? no?
then move on another step.
pull her close, move in for the kiss

is she receptive? good you just got physical

at which point you can grab her ass and stuff, but you may want to excersizze some restraint especially if its the first date... dont try to screw her unless she takes you there. At each "baby step" she will either be giving you the go ahead signal or slow down signal, be awares

and you may not want to take the steps fast. be patient and enjoy each step. you may want to stay at the kissing step for a while for example

Thx, had a second date today. It seems like she's just shy but no matter what I do she responds positively, like when I put my hand around her she leans on me. Whenever I offer something she always agrees to anything. Today we went to casino with friends and I invited her along. In the casino she was following me around like a puppy. Still didn't kiss her though although I had a perfect opportunity when she leaned on me and fell asleep in the car (my friend was driving), so now I'm a bit pissed off at myself.

Kiss her damnit !!! For christ sakes up the kino level. She is comfortalbe taking it slow as you can tell but a little kiss means that you mean business. You are not some chump that just wants to be her friend and a kiss should establish this.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
