When I say experienced, I mean guys who have been in this situation before.

I am 23, a fairly good looking guy, a little bit slim, but pretty atheletic looking.
I have been busy concentrating on my flying, meeting other girls and bla bla bla. I am going to be leaving New Zealand in a months time to move to India, where I am trying to start my career as a Commercial Pilot.

The story is to do with my old oneitis. The one who seemed like she was keen, but I went and said some pretty bad things about her to her best mate when I was drunk. The best mate, asked me if I liked her, I kept saying no, and that I could get her any day I wanted. After that, I asked the chick out and she said she wanted some one genuine.

I finally became friends with her again to regain her trust, but then I found out she was dating another guy, and they started dating pretty soon after she found out I was with another girl at uni (which was not true btw). I got a bit pissed off - some real AFC behaviour, I know, this was just when I had just started coming to this site. I gave her some crap about dating this guy and she got pissed off at me again. She broke up with this guy. Again, I tried to regain her trust and slowly she started coming around. But, when she intiated a conversation with me, I kinda blew her away and I was back to square one.

Last year, when I txted her, told her I kinda missed talking to her. She replied that she wanted to catch up if I did as well. And I said, after the exams, which were a month and a half away. A week later, I txted her, God knows why, and asked her if she wanted to catch up, she said she would, but after exams. I said it was a good idea, and that we should meet up for a drink. She said she wasn't sure and that she was seeing another guy. I asked her, what was his name, she said, it wasn't important for me to know. I never contacted her again.

Its been nearly a year, since I txted, called, or made in contact with my old oneitis. I saw a picture of her with another guy today and suddenly got this urge to meet up with her again. I am not sure whether I should contact her, I just don't wanna regret it later.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Just forget about her dude. Find something better to do. Talk to other girls, go to the gym, and have some fun with other people.

Once you have a couple of other ones and you realize that she's not hot **** then you can do what you want.
For now just stay away from her. If you do anything in your current state you'll just crack and turn into a total wuss.
It's an endless cycle of feeling sorry for yourself. You need to get out of it and feel like a winner for once.

Man this whole thing sounds like fate has conspired to keep you two apart.

One bad thing after another lol.

Anyway dude go ahead and contact her if you really want to and find out whats up.

If she is single again and interested in talking with you just keep your temper and any other bad behaviour in check this time and go for it.

If she is involved with someone else what backbreaker said is for the best.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

You need to find out what is it EXACTLY that SHE HAS that is making you crazy.

Or maybe, you NEVER found out.

I say contact her and see what she says. But honestly, you don't sound like you've gained any perspective since you last saw her. So you may end up in the Infinity Gauntlet yet again.
Go cal her and see what's up.
If she's cold, you have GOT to get over her.
IF she's warm and inviting, go see what's up in her.

And eventually realize that it may NEVER end up some fairy tale romance or anything like that, ok?
Go in with both eyes open.

"Protect that Heart"

...........yet again...

what made me crazy about her was she pretty much met all my requirements for a chick. pretty, intelligent, sense of humour, sense of fashion, atheletic, got really well with my family, and my mum was really fond of her. And she was a virgin.

Another thing, when I got her home no. I didn't ring her straight away. She texted me asking me if I was going to ring, and I just gave her a cold reply saying nope and I didn't ring her for a week.

Right now, cos I am going to India, I am afraid I am giving up a big part of my young life . I am not into Indian chicks, but I have to go India to get my career started. I can't sacrifice my career. But I am going there for 6 years.

I am a type of guy, whos always pretty much got what he wanted. Not because I was spoilt, but I always believed that a person only lived once and because of that I didnt wanna miss out on anything in life, If I had the will, I had a way.

I don't wanna come back after 6 years, and try making things work out with someone. Most of the time, the good chicks by the time they are 22, they are taken and well into a long term relationship. Most of the chicks I meet, that are over 25 and are still single, just wanna have sex, and these are not my cup of tea.

Well it seems to me like you already know what you gotta do.

Just one question how are you going to "secure" her for the next 6 years?
There's this kennel by my house that'd be perfect for her.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

honestly, a lot of my friends say I do have a ego problem even though I know and get along with alot of people. I do not have many female friends though, most of them, get attracted to me when they first meet me, but after a while, i turn them off, cos I can be a real jerk at times. This is where I think my problem lies.

Someone much cooler, do you wanna elaborate?

I still haven't txtd her, because I feel I do not want to make any moves based on emotions. I will end up shooting my foot once again, like I did in the past.

So you want to have a serious relationship with this girl - to marry herl? Why - after she has been handed down from guy to guy? This has been years in the making?

What is the attraction - and why the wait??

I'm no DJ, not by any stretch of the imagination. However, I've gone out on some adventures in my life under shaky circumstances because I just HAD to know.

The biggest one was I sold my possessions, joined a band, and made a living playing music for 3 years. I never achieved any fame or fortune, but it was enough to keep me moving and on that path.

It was one of those things I just HAD to know.

It's a bit different from your situation, but I would say do whatever feels right. You want to tell her how you honestly feel, go for it. Maybe you crash and burn, maybe it works in your favor. You want to DJ the girl, go for it. Maybe you have the romance of your lifetime, or maybe you realize she really isn't all that great.

I would say you do what feels right and accept the consequences of your actions.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

If its just a fvck than I say go for it. Get your rocks off before you leave. But if you are really expecting more than that, just board the plane to India right now, because there would be nothing but trouble if you were to have some sort of relationship.
