"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Guys, I have so many options it's pathetic, but here's why I'm not pursuing All of them: I'm not settled. I'm waiting to scrounge up enough money to buy a small condo or house. My current apartment is a dump both internally and externally. The rent is so cheap. I don't want to buy furniture or fix it up because all that'd mean is I'd have to move all that stuff when I buy a house soon, so I just let my apartment go to hell because I ain't gonna be inviting any women over while I'm living at THIS address.

Now, these women who are throwing themselves at me know I have a good job, and know that I'm attractive physically and know that I'm desired by other women and know that I'm a man among men.

The latest flirtatious young'un (10 years younger) is quite a knock-out in all aspects: she dresses young, she looks young, she has the most amazing breasts and bubble butt at about 5'10" height. She looks like a white Tyra Banks with blue eyes. I normally don't go for this kind of gal because I KNOW she will eventually end up bilking me for all the money I have and will eventually have. All she sees in me is future $$ and good looks and offspring's good looks.

I want her to LOVE me for who I am though like my oneitis did for the past two years loved me. She's so young that all I see is Bubbly jumping in my face and walkpath trying to get my attention all the time while I'm talking to a friend. She KNOWS she's got the goods. She said something really stupid tonight and like a DJ I called her on it (I didn't just go along with what she said and start laughing). I was more or less like, "What are you stupid? What are talking about?" and she tried to explain what she was talking about and I STILL could not understand her description of what she was trying to say. So the whole night tonight she was trying to win my approval even if it meant acting like a bouncy bubble-headed girly girl.

Why do young girls resort to acting like a child when they've failed to speak to you as an adult? I just had to cut off our conversation tonight because she was giggling just way too much for my liking. I just drove off and left her standing there in the parking lot.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Who cares how giggly she is? That's why one-night-stands were invented.

Sort out the flakes so you'll know a keeper when you find one--and lay some pipe in the meantime.

...and I guess I failed to answer your question, so I'll just relate from my experience that no one knows why women do what they do. They just do.
