Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I've been able to pop in here from time to time and get pretty good advice, so I figured what the hell.

I'm seeing this new girl, and I'm trying to think of stuff to do. Activities. I'm not a total cheap bastard or anything, I have no problem going on proper dates and spending money and having a good time.

But I'm looking for more ideas that can still be enjoyable, but not cost me...here's what I have so far, I appreciate anyone who can add to the list:

Watch a sunrise/sunset
Picnic
Bonfire
Camping
Hang out at the park

That's all I have, again, any ideas are definatly appreciated.

thanks guys

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hmm, sunset/sunrise seems a bit much for a first date.

First dates are ways to see if this chick is worth spending time with.

I like to meet up for drinks with women (obviously over 21).

Meet for some drinks/****tails. It won't be that expensive. It's a little more fun than meeting for coffee. Also, a little alcohol can be a bit of a social lubricant.

After one or two drinks you can learn a lot about someone and see where the date is going.

Find a cool spot that has a good vibe and order a few drinks.
Hopefully, she offers to cover hers.
This drink date will tell you a lot about the girl and if you want to spend more time with her.

It's low-key but you can stil get dressed up a bit and you can still show her a great time. It's cost-effective. It won't cost you more than 30 dollars AT THE MOST. Usually its under 20.

Not a first date, we've gone out a few times now. Sorry if there was confusion there.

And although I am over 21 (24, I need up update my stuff), I'm not a drinker. And I'm over the trying to impress her phase, now just looking to have more fun out.

Alright, when does one decide to pay for the entire date? I could imagine the girl must be really confused as well. See, im not sure where to take this fine young lady as of yet. Does one automaticlly go on the date with the intent to pay, and if she offers then let her? or do you get things cleared in the begining? im confused here. Sometimes i'd actually like to take a girl out and pay for certain things.

You're a DJ, not a nice guy. Remember that!

I never go out with a woman unless she pays half - supply and demand, I know plenty of women who want me, I don't see the point of paying for one when I can get one who pays for herself! I made a good post on this a couple of days ago, which I've quoted for you here:

WHAT THE FVCK WERE YOU DOING?

Shouting over, now lets get some ground rules laid down.

Women have equal rights. If a woman tells me to pay for her, I tell her thats fine, as long as she gives up her right to work and vote for the rest of her life.

Paying very occasionally is fine, as is paying more often if you are 40 and she's in college. If you are both 15, split it, always.

Paying for her friend is stupidity. I once bought a McDonalds for a girl and her friend (years ago) and realised how stupid I was and didn't do it again!
Going for a walk is a good idea and costs nothing- make it somewhere decent.

Camping is another good idea, but its a bit more than a "date" and time consuming. I'd leave it a while if I were you if you've only been out with her a few times. (For the younger guys - an excellent place to fvck if you live with your parents!)

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I always go under the assumption that for the first date, whoever did the inviting pays. After that, she should pay her half unless you're feeling particularly generous (or she is).

It's not something you need to 'establish' before the date.

When getting drinks the bartender or server will drop by the bill.

If she is cool, she will offer to ask what her split is, or offer to pony up half.

This is a way of finding out about the type of girl she is.

I grabbed drinks with one girl and right when the tab landed she had her purse in hand, asking what her split was.

I paid that small tab, and told her, the next drinks where on her.

We were hitting it off, so we went out dancing, and she bought the drinks there. They were much more expensive, but it was fun to have her getting it for me.

Just go with the flow man.

There are no set rules to ANYTHING. Unless, its sports.

haha. Anyway, don't worry about splitting until that time comes.

It's not that I'm a cheapskate or anything, just looking for new ideas outside of dinner, drinks, movies, etc

Walk along a lake, river, seashore, pond or reservoir is my favorite. Water has a relaxing effect.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

it really depends on what sort of thing intrests you.

I like to people watch, so going to a starbucks and sitting inside or out is a good time to have a conversation and just let my eyes and ears wander onto other conversations. You have to be able to concentrate on two diffrent conversations at the same time though, i dont try to leave the girl hanging in mid conversation.

I would try and find out if anyone in your circle of friends is having a party or atleast a "small social gathering" anytime soon. This might be a good idea to let her mingle with your friends and see how she handles herself with them. Drinking with the boys or is she going to cling to you in an awkward uncomfortable way? Will she get plastered and hit on anything standing?

Just tossing something out there for you, hope this sparks some ideas.

I don't even "date" anymore. Its not worth my time, effort, and the $$. I invite them out for drinks or coffee.....but drinks are usually better since they loosen up (figuratively and literally ;) ) Get them to drink a lil and then seduce the shlt outta them.
