"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Ok so here's my story:

I am a senior in high school. There's this girl Christine whom I have been best friends with since freshman year. I mean we have always been real close and always had a secrect love for eachother since we met. We have both dated other people during high school, while still keeping a good friendship. But this year; things changed. We grew up and confessed our feelings to eachother. We started dating last semester, but we never made it "official". I had liked to play numerous girls at one time, it was what I was used to unless I had made a commitment to one girl. While we were "dating" things were going real good. We had great sex the first time we hooked up and it seemed like it was mean to be.

But one night, I ****ed up real bad. I had sex with one of her good girlfriends. I never told her about it, but a few months things went downhill from there and we decided to break up because she lied to me one night and I found another girl. I now know how dumb I was to do this. This other girls name was jessica and we went out for about a month. I didnt like her personality-it was strictly a physical relationship so I broke it off with her.

I found out that while I was dating Jessica, my best friend tried to date Christine and kissed her. As mad as I was at him for that-listen to this: he told her that I had sex with her best friend and that I hooked up with this other girl who was a model. This made her feel terrible and that she was not good enough for me or something.

After I broke up with Jessica I decided to call Christine up again. We started hanging out again, and started to have a lot of sex. Then all of the sudden it all stopped. She would always bring up how I hooked up with her best friend and that she could never trust me again. It seemed like every day we would get in a fight about it. I told Christine that her friend meant nothing to me, and that I regret what I did and that if we had made things official I never would have done that. I was starting to dig Christine again. I did not want to lose her. She was my best friend and I loved her. I started to be persistent on being with her(mistake). For valentines day i got her a victories secrect outfit, perfume, roses, and a nice card. I overdid it a little bit, and she gave me nothing. I am really confused on what to do. This week we ended it for good, because she says that she cant trust me and doesnt want a boyfriend. Does this mean that I dont have a chance?

I need some advice on what to do from here. How can I earn her trust back, how can I get her to want me as much as I want her, and how should I act...push/pull or what? I am so confused and I cannot lose her. She means the world to me and I have told her that. I dont know what to do.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Sounds like you've already laid all your cards on the table....this is unfortunate.

You were not officially going out at the time when you saw this other girl. You did NOT cheat, but you would have seriously hurt her feelings anyhow.

You;ve made some BIG mistakes, such as like with valentines. She got you nothing, yet you got her numerous presents.

She does not trust you anymore, even if she does like you. Taking a step back, and showing she can trust you is the only card I see that you have left to play. The only way to do this, is to back right off and stop making moves on her. If it was me, I'd play the friends card right now, and over some time show her what she's missing out on by being fun, ****y, seeing other women friends. You are going to have to startfrom scratch again with this one.

Good luck !

Even though it wasn't "official", your friend still views it as cheating. Not only did you go screw one of her friends, but a really hot one too, so now she's likely feeling that she's not good enough for you and never will be. Also, by doing that you lost her trust and, honestly, I doubt you'll ever fully regain it. Even if she forgives you, she'll never forget it and it will always be an issue. You can't instantly rebuild trust and you can't buy it from someone, as you tried to do for Valentines Day.

Basically, I think it's over. Any chance you had with this girl is gone. Even though she may say she likes you, she will never really trust you again, and that will put a damper on your friendship. It's over, it's done, stop trying to get her. Go find another girl and don't repeat this mistake.
