"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

What's up...DJ's,
I've been in a 4 year relationship....Everything has literally been the bomb due to all these principles...However, one thing I have noticed is when we conversate about my job she takes things personal and gets upset. For example, sometimes I'll tell her about the various problems and crazy situations on my job as a conversation piece to laugh and joke about. Instead of it being funny to her, she views it as you need to get out of that place, it is a hell hole. This doesn't happen all the time but enough where I figure I should get some advice. Usually, what happens is after she rants about how oppressive my job is, she then will apologize and say" I didn't mean to go off but I just love you so much...I hate to see you working under these conditions..." She is absolutely right, my job is oppressive - I work in media where they don't pay jack and my boss is crazy as hell...but I still enjoy it..I don't intend for her to spazz out on me...I'm wondering...When she asked me how was work today...Should I just say fine and not elaborate...What do you guys think?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Do what you feel is right. If your job is oppresive and you both know it(but you don't mind it) then she should back you as long as you like it. Whenever someone ask me how work was today I respond with "Another day in paradise",it was work and all my work affiliated stuff stays at work,I don't talk about work outside of work. It sounds like she doesn't want you to be unhappy but at the same time she must accept the fact that you like it.

Just stop talking about it to her.
At least stop just b1tching and griping about it. If all she hears from you are complaints it gets old, especially if she cares about you. Start sharing with her the good stuff too or just stop if all you can do is complain about it.

I feel like I'm not complaining but maybe I am....like I said...For example, if my boss did something to all of us...I'll tell her but not w/ the intentions of her getting pissed...I just want her to be like Damn...that's crazy...Doc Love says stay away from Negatives...since this seems to be turning into a negative....I'm not going to talk about work at all....If she ask...I'll just say fine...and switch it back to her....like what I use to do when I first met her...

Stay away from negatives. They only turn into bad feelings for her. If you've had a rough day, you can tell her that you had a rough day but dont go into a 10 minute monologue as to why. It'll make you sound like a whiny chump. Remember that a man is largely in control of his own destiny and you have to actually believe that if you want other people to.
