Need advice for this girl...

So I met this girl at a party a few weeks ago, but nothing happened..a lil flirting, but thats about it. She left before I could get a chance to initiate anything. A few days later she adds me on myspace and I get her screen name from there. We chat, but i'm rarely on AIM so its been on and off..talked about twice on AIM and not for long. She's pretty hot, but she's also a sophmore, and I'm a senior (is this off grounds?). My friend is having a party next week and I'm debating whether to invite her or not. Its either invite her to that, or go out to a movie w/ her sometime. Either way, I plan on talkin to her on AIM and getting her # so I can make plans.

Which option would you do? She seems like a good person to take to prom to since i don't want to take anyone I've hooked up with before or anyone that is just a friend. Invite her to the party, or invite her on a date?

I'm not sure how high her interest level is since its been a while since we met (~ a month) and we haven't talked much...I plan on chatting her a bit more on AIm, then when I see the right time, ask her for her # and tell her I'll call her up w/ plans sometime.

That's what I plan on doing. I'll probably take her out to a movie. I'm going to break the ice a bit on AIM where I can feel comfortable w/ her. I've found once I've done this, its A LOT easier to talk to them.
