So I really like this chick for a change and have been playing it cool and not pushy. her grandpa died and she's going to a funeral tom. Would any of you text her anything and if so what would you say. We've only been on 4-5 dates

Just shoot her a text or call her and see how she is. Don't push yourself onto her but leave it in her court that if there's anything she needs to give you a buzz. No one knows how anyone would react to a death in the family especially someone close; she may become distant or may seek you for comfort. Regardless, give her time and get on with your life and don't necessarily consider dropping her if she does not reply in the immediate vicinity.

Be a decent human call her tell her your thinking of her because of him. Just let her know your their for her.

Not so you can **** her later because when somebody losses somebody its nice to know people are thinking of them

I would call but text I suppose is okay if that is what you do. Follow this up with a card it's the classy thing to do.
