"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I was looking through profiles of very hot girls, porn stars and /or girls putting up explicit pictures of themselves half naked and I cant help but to notice the comments section:

"thank you for the add, you are so beautiful"
"hey cutie, thank you for the add!!!! hope u had a great weekend and hope to chat wit u soon. "
"thanks for the add gorgeous"
"i just thought i would stop in and say hello to a beautiful female"
"hey thanks for da add if ya wanna chat just hit me up "
"Im sorry for taking up space on your page but I want thank you for
adding me it means so much"

some of the guys put sweet poems in the comments section, a few had glittering roses! ROSES. One guy put a teddy bear!! A damn teddy bear that was smiling like a Care Bear and a comment "Just showing you some love, hope all is going well, you deserve the best"

What the hell are these guys eating? "Im sorry"? What the hell is that? I mean I almost threw up my dinner reading some of this.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

In most cases, it doesn't matter. The point of online dating (ironic that MySpace markets itself as a 'friends meeting friends' site) is to meet in person as quickly as possible. I agree with the premise that you have to stand out, but do any of these guys really expect to meet and date strippers, pornstars and other assorted attention *****s with 10,000 "friends" they don't know?
Or do they just want to add them to their friends lists to impress the plain janes that browse them?
It's an ego boost, and a small one at that.

LMAO seldom I notice those comments too
I have 21 friends on my page and unless I add someone from here or the fitness forum I go too its gonna stay at that. Yes I have like 3 or 4 models and pornstars but they are ones I email all the time and will party with once I visit their city, they are friends of mine though, I think half of them have a bf. I know another one that isnt on myspace, she has a bf but she is a great friend and believe it or not does give good advice about dating. I was shocked when she told me she met her boyfriend off match.com I'm not into using the net for dating but if a model can use it it may not be too bad. (some of u will say of course it was easy for her she is a model, but she was under a diff name so no one who know her) but yeah I doubt her bf sent her comments like that or else he wouldnt have had a chance

this thread rings truth. I do not have too many hot girls on my list of friends, but the few I do have their walls plastered with guys saying that crap. I can tell looking at a picture and reading their wall posts if they are single.

I have noticed that alot, too. I hate to say it, but Myspace is the best place to find women in your area...but the worst way to approach.

I know it's possible, and I still use it as an avenue to meet new women, but I have not gotten a woman to meet me in real life. I have had 2 agree to meet me at a local coffee lounge, but it falls apart. I have gotten one number, but she kept playin around about meeting me somewhere, so I nexted her.

I believe I'm not doing a bad job at approaching them. I NEVER compliment them on anything, especially their looks. I usually try to pick something in their profile and comment on it, but usually I just send a message like this:

Subject: (usually something that stands out like: "Read me!" or "Don't read this!!!" or "I love rainy days" or "Mr. Perfect at your door!"...basically anything that's not the regular "Hey")

Body:

Hey <girls name>,

I'm Seth. I saw your profile, and you look pretty fun/interesting! Check out my page, and if you like what you see, send me a friend invite to get to know me. And I get to know people in person, so I won't play email tag for a year. Talk to you soon

I have probably a 75% success rate, in that they send me a friend invite. I usually send them a follow up message a few days later and ask them a little about themselves. I usually say something like "tell me what makes you stand out from the crowd". I probably have a 10% respond rate. Usually they don't even reply back. I can't figure it out.. any suggestions??

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

A couple of dudes from MM forum conducted a little experiment, where they made fake profiles of some good looking girls, just to see how the males would react. And let me tell you some of the sh!t they wrote was sickening. Thread can be found here:

I'm sure some of you can relate to the messages being sent back in your AFC days.

:nervous:

That is amazing. I can see how much this site has helped me in the way I make an approach. On the other hand, I'm still trying to figure out how to make myself stand out from the other 10,000 guys messaging..

yeah, it doesn't seem how you alter your approach compared to the other schmucks who feed them lines they've devoured a million times before....you can be sincere, unique, even quite funny and still, it seldom matters. Oh well, I've been able to seduce 3 and it's all a matter of avoiding those cheesy comments and somehow setting yourself apart. Even so, I find reluctance from chicks I know would ordinarily be interested. It's really inexplicable I think.

Everywhere you want to be.... I'm like a Visa card
Its totally explicable. Its the internet. Its just a network of information. You can't feel attraction for words and pixels. Not like you can for a real person. You're sitting there looking at your computer, the cold unfeeling machine that it is. I don't get attracted to computers. And girls don't either.

That sums it up right there.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
