"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

First, I just want to say thanks to all you guys and helping me through this.

Well, my story began during the summer before high school. I just found sosuave and read David Deangelo's stuff. During those times, I never heard of Mystery Style or Juggler. There were no lairs that I heard of. No, this was when David Deangelo first marketed his first book. Like a true AFC, these concepts blew my mind. Treating them like bratty sisters, teasing them, kinoing. For months I read and read and somehow led me to Anthony Robbins. That was when I did NLP tricks to make myself believe that "I am the prize" and that "everyone wants me."

My successes were amazing. I must have gotten everyone I came in contact with, to have such awesome times and lasting memories. Yet, these NLP tricks and hypnosis substituted other people's "canned materials." I was addicted to them, never realizing how much I changed and constantly needing to do these tricks for hours each night. They were there to constantly assuage me, reasssuring that "I am the prize". I still had a self-confidence and self-image issue I didn't confront. before 8th grade, I was this chubby wannabe that was always depressed. From NLP I grew somewhat, became more positive, but when I stopped relying on it, I kept feeling like I was losing touch with who I am. I joined the gymnastics team which helped me tremendously. The excess fat went away and I got pretty sweet abs, chest, and shoulders.

But anyways, I don't want to live attached to these NLP tricks. I want know my true self and be congruent in any situation. I keep feeling like I don't know who I am, yet I got a glimpse of what I'm capable of. Please give me some advice to have such strong beliefs and presence

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I sort of went through the same thing you're going through right now... and I think your problem may be that you're still trying to convince yourself that you have what it takes to get girls. All you have to do is realize that yes, you DO have what it takes (which, based on all the success you say you've had so far, should be fairly obvious), and that now you should focus on getting not just any girl, but a girl that you actually WANT.

Of course, your new approach may be a little different depending on what it is you actually want to get from the girls you meet. If all you want to do is get laid, you can probably just act the same way you've been acting, but from now on you should only go after the girls you want to fvck. If you want a LTR, the best advice I can give is to remember the principles you learned from this site, but start acting more "natural" (don't confuse this with "just be yourself"), which should "filter out" the superficial party girls, and the girls that will be left will be the more virtuous ones (i.e. the ones actually worth being in a LTR with).

Heh, well. I joined thinking I wanted an LTR, but I realized I just want to have real connections not just with girls but anyone and make it fun. But this has been stopping me lately.
Thx for your advice though. I think I just have to realize it. And I found this which really helped me out: http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=97293. Basically, it's what you said,Sean O. Just decide to be your best from now til forever internally and separate yourself from all the things that held you back. You're changed internally and you're proactive in become even better. NO gimmicks or tricks.

I fell ya bro. I spent around a year in that stage, and one (rather 'smoky') day I hit up this girl for her # and *poof* everything seems to have kicked in. I'm no master DJ by a long shot but atelast I AM a DJ.

Peace
