Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Ok, I signed up for this basically because I would like opinions on this situation.

First a little bit of background info on me.

I'm a 20 year old, white male.
I'm attending Penn State University, majoring in Chemistry.
I'm taking a few summer classes to speed up my schedule.
I'm "average" in attractiveness (I am usually called "cute" but nothing more).
I'm also considered very intelligent and witty.

Ok my situation.

I have become attracted to my Physics Lab partner. She is a very intelligent woman, who is also extremely beautiful. While talking to her, I assume she doesn't have a boyfriend by various comments she has made (Spent 4th of july weekend by herself, hangs out during the week with her good friends and roomie... and her roomate also has not mentioned "a boyfriend" (Her roomate has Tennis class with me).) For this, I'm going to call her "X". Well X and I usually only talk during class, and usually never about physics. We sometimes hang out after class, but usually not because she works in a laboratory immediately after class. She gave me her phone number and her email address (Only the email address was needed for school, but she gave me her phone number "just incase"). Well, basically, I would like to ask her out on a date... and I have decided I should do it tomorrow, after our class.

Question 1: Would this be a wise idea, or should I avoid it? (if you need more info ask... but I only have about 2 hours left till I goto sleep).

Well if it is a wise idea, we have a 3rd in our Friday lab group. X and I have always left class together (we have class 5 days a week, 3 of which we are working with each other directly). Usually this other girl leaves with us on fridays.

Question 2: Should I ask X over the phone after class, or "pull her to the side" after class and ask her?

Now, rejection isn't a bad thing, if she doesn't like me she will reject, no biggie. But any recommendations to make it "go better"?

Info about X

She is a 20 year old white female
She lives in apartment with another female and two guys (both from her Highschool). She is a bio-engineer major, and is a constant studier.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Smart and Beautiful ones, the best. Well i'd just talk to her after class about it. That way you'd know if there's a possible chance that she likes you. I've been in a similar situation before, except it was in Spanish Class, but that girl would always leave class in a hurry, so i could never catch up with her. There'd be no need to call her if you see her that often. But the downside is that if things go bad, it'd feel awkward later on.

Don't ask her out in front of the 3rd lab partner because it will make you feel akward and you'll probably get nervous. Secondly I'd wait until your summer school class with her is nearly over to ask her out because if she rejects you then it could be akward studying with her. However I don't know the situation as well as you, if she's giving you good signs of interest and you feel confident she'd say yes then go for it ASAP.

Small problem

There is a small problem with waiting till this summer class ends... we have a class next semester together and she "claimed" me for her partner in that also. So, I will be with her two consecutive semesters...

*note: She claimed me because it is an advanced chem class and since I am a chem major, to her, it made sense...

Three words, "Go for it". That's your only alternative left, or just don't.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Ummm...NO!! You do not ask her out as if its a privelage, you invite her to hang out with you. DO NOT ask her if she wants to get coffee or go to a movie sometime, terrible advice and soooo cliche!!!

Let her know what your ALREADY planning on doing and invite her along.

Example:

U: I'm going to the batting cages (killer date idea btw) you should join me.

This way if she says yes, your in and you can take it from there. If she says no, that shows her that your times valuable and your going to the batting cages regardless of whether she says yes. Do you see the difference?

And since its summer ask her out during the weekday, it'll be much more likely that she accepts. If you have that class with her next semester then go in for the kill now. You will truely know your a DJ when you already know the girl's answer before asking. Masters of seduction attract the girl first, then ask her the necessary questions.

We got out of class late, I waited for her (since she waits for me also). The 3rd person didn't walk with us today. On our way down, I show her the picture I drew of a dog with a 5th leg (it is a joke between us... she is determined to one day make a dog with a 5th leg). We get to where we seperate (she goes to work, I goto breakfast). Here is what happened:

Me: So what are you up to this weekend?

X: Sleep! And lots of it!

Me: Haha, I hear you! Getting up at 6 AM for this class is killer!

X:Yeah I know!

Me: Well I was wondering if you wanted to get together this weekend... ya know, like catch a movie or something.

X: I'll think about it and get back to you.

Me: Alright, have a good time at work.

X: Have fun eating breakfast.

(Note: yes that is our usual ending when we part.. excep days when she gets breakfast with me and is late for work).

Basically, it was the "nice letdown". Oh well, nothing to cry over, just move on.

Not bad, but i think it should've been...

You: Doing anything this weekend?

Her: Nope

You: I'm goin to a movie, you can tag along if u want.

But oh well, that's just how i've handled it in the past.

Atleast u found out. :)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
