So I decided to do a little match.com online dating. Yeah, I know...but I work nights so I figured it couldn't hurt. Got a lot of winks, likes, etc. Didn't reply to most because they weren't my type really. Sent out a few emails got a few replies, nothing to write home about. Got an email from a cute girl out of the blue a few weeks ago. We messaged back and forth a bit, spoke on the phone briefly a few times. Met up with her yesterday. The date lasted a few hours, convo was good. Overall I think it went well. I didn't attempt to set up a second date during this one, figured that might come off as a bit lame. I did hint of getting together in the future...she says "we'll play it by ear". So I didn't take that as a good sign...and I hate that expression. I texted her a bit earlier, mentioned something we talked about during the date. No response. Keeping in mind that she's the one that contacted me first, I took that as a sign of high interest. Guess, as Nismo would say...she's in a another castle. So as far as my online dating experience so far I'm 0/1. Unless for some reason I hear back, I think this ones dead in the water. Thoughts?

Women these days have plenty of options, women you meet online have a plethora of meat online. My experience is high risk - high reward when it comes to general dating. When I had a girl out on the first date, it was 50/50 I will see her again, regardless of how the date went. 95% of the time we kiss close if that has any relevance. When you are playing with those odds, it would make A LOT of sense to push the envelope and see how far you can get away with. A second date should be the LAST thing on your mind. Options for women online:

1) Meet at a bar or lounge after 8PM, 30-45 minute conversation tops - more of a factfinding (living situation roommates location etc)
2) Move to another venue - somewhere isolated without alarms going off
3) Tell her to hop in your car
--a) If she disagrees, she is not quite comfortable with you yet or she isn't feeling it. I usually cut bait here.
--b) If she agrees, all systems a go.
4) Immediately subtle kino when she gets out of the car, hands on lower back. Find some ammunition to get her back to her place or yours.
5) Find every excuse to touch her, if she reciprocates - go in for the kiss. That's IT. NO MORE KISSING. 30 minutes and stand up and take her by the hand. Where are we going? 'Remember I told you about my bug collection? Let's go back to my place with a couple of drinks'

She either says Yes or No. It's not a hostage negotiation or disarming a bomb. If she says no, drop her back at her car. Un-fazed.

I had one chick say No. As I was driving off the parking lot, she called me and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was watching a movie with a drink. She followed me back in her car and BANG!

Thanks for reply. I know she's got a ton of options, but that picture you added...that puts it in perspective. Haha thanks.

In my opinion, the key is to stay aloof and make her do the work. You do just enough to keep her interested. The SECOND you "switch roles" and become the pursuer of a girl who initiated interest in you, you risk losing her.

I believe that women who make the first move ALWAYS want to feel like the pursuer. They NEVER want to be pursued. That turns them off. Like a faucet.
This is interesting...but it makes sense. But I did kind of get that vibe from her. Not that she seemed like a control freak, but she did put in more effort than a lot of girls I've talked to online. Most of them just sit back and collect emails from horny guys.
