I am a White man who has primarily interacted with White women over the years. My experiences can help with this.
There is a lot of competition for White women. White women are desired not only by White men but also by non-White men. The non-White men who tend to go for White women the most are Black men and South Asian men. Some Hispanic men are interested in White women but many Hispanic men are fine with the generally desirable Hispanic women.
White women are extremely fussy, especially middle class White women who typically have a bachelor's degree +, live in a bigger city, and have some sort of white collar job. These are the women I typically call bougie.
White women are often inclined to date using tech methods (swipe apps & fielding social media DMs). This increases their abundance.
@MatureDJ is correct that it can be difficult for White men to stand out with White women. Most White women will primarily date White men, but she's trying to chase the top tier of White men, especially if she fits that bougie description from above. Many mid-tier White men get ignored by even mid-tier White women who are focused on chasing mainly top tier White men.
