- Responsiveness and how its the only way to improve
Responsiveness
Time goes on and I have learned one of the most valuable lessons about myself (and people in general). As humans it is in our nature to wish to achieve more but as Emerson stated: "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm". So the secret to getting what we want lies in enthusiasm, but how do you arise this enthusiasm within yourself. It is my belief that humans are very responsive animals, to achieve something great we first must of been given something emotional to respond to. So the trick to all this is finding your most triggering emotional response.
As you will see later on in this post I will be putting myself to the biggest test so far in my life, the problem was that i cant give myself a challenge without having the motivation to carry it the whole way through. So what did i do? I dug deep, i dug deep inside of myself to search for that ONE THING that i would emotionally respond too that would give me the enthusiasm needed to do something great. Responsiveness, it is the key to getting what we want and the key to getting everything we dont want, harnessing its power is something all DJ's need to do.
So how did i discover this emotional response you might be asking? Well i had to look to the past, i had to look at the one time where i was the most motivated in my life to change, the one time that i was enthusiastic about what i was doing and wanted to change, and i had to bring it all back. Once i had brought it back, i had to learn to boost that mind state. How did i do it?? Well i tagged it, i did this by getting myself into this strong state, by imagining, listening to music, etc. Until i was extremely motivated then i set the doggy tag by making a tapping sound with my fingers, now when my body felt that it would remind itself of that motivated state i was in. I brought it back by making that tapping noise every morning and every other time i felt unmotivated. After i had learnt to boost the mind set, i decided to set the test.
