My officemate is gaming a girl at work that I met first

I met this girl May 3, we hit it off at the smoking area and all seems to go well.

Got her number and proposed to go out soon, she said sure but told me she couldn't go out that weekend since she already had plans with her family (may 11-12).

Then last Thursday, I introduced her to one of my officemates who were with us at the smoking area. I didn't tell him that I like her, but I thought it was implied that I was into her since we were obviously hitting it off.
Lo and behold he asked out the same night after their shift, they go out at 12 and had drinks (she didn't drink according to the guy's story and just had iced tea, I also knew she doesn't drink since she told me so) Nothing happened according to his story to our friends

Yesterday, I texted her an hour before she got off from work and told her if she'd like to get coffee. She replied after an hour that she can't because she had to go home already because she still hasn't sleep but promised to make it up to me (I know, this doesn't sound good)

Today, I saw them hanging out and smoking, I went up to them and made some small talk to the girl. Also did the cube routine on her just to do some cold read. Then we parted ways since they still have work to do and I already had to go home.

I know that I'm at a disadvantage, but to you experienced DJs, do you think I could still do something to turn things in my favor? me and this guy aren't close friends, just someone I hang out with at the smoking area or eat dinner with at the cafeteria. I have known him for just a month, so he's not like my bro or something.

i know, it's a rookie mistake that I don't have other plates on rotation...it's just that my ego took a hit that another guy gets to close a plate that I opened

I'll do that next time I see her at the smoking area. I'll tell her that he's really nice and that she should be nice to him as well because he just came from a bad breakup

yeah, I think the trick here is to seem disinterested. This may be tough because you've already asked her out a few times and she's now aware that you're into her. I wouldn't change up my routine too much but like Sam said above, she's the bratty little sister. Treat her as such, if you see her at other times than the smoking area, try to ignore without making it obvious. If she comes and talks to you, that's fine, but escape at the soonist possible time.

Basically, act as if you gave her a chance and she failed so now you're done with her. You have better things to do then put up with her sh1t. You don't lol but she doesn't know this. You can still stick to your guns as a man even if the best things going for you is free porn when you get home from work.

I know how it feels...it always hurts the ego...i would by lying if i said it wouldn't have bothered me as well, but facts are facts and you are overinvested in her...back off and focus on other women...for whatever reason, i never do well with people i work with as well....but who cares...there are so many fish everywhere in the real world for your taking........

yeah it sucks losing head on to another guy......too bad you can't have an old stone aged style caveman battle and the strongest gets the girl....hahahaha...i personally just despise losing to anyone.....as far as the girl goes, though...who cares there are millions, no, billions of them out there....so chalk it up to experience and move along...
