"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hi All, hope everyone is good.

I have a kinda sensitive question.
My Hobby is actually paranormal investigation (Ghost Hunting).

It is exciting, Scary as hell most of the time< but here in the bible belt (Florida) They aren't real keen on it. I don't think.

The question is: Is that going to be an acceptable answer to the question.
What do you do for hobbies?
If, I get asked, I know I can say other things (Rocket Surgeon , Brain Scientist) Etc Etc. But, if I wanted to tell the truth , How do you think that would go over?

Just asking

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Heh. I think I have an idea of what you mean. See, by profession, I'm a graphic designer (that's ok), videographer (very dorky), and a magician (might as well become a priest or monk); and a ventriloquist. Yeah, so I'm a little geeky at times.

I think part of it is:

1) perceived success

2) how interested you are in the hobby. If you come across as bored, or downplay it too much, you're going to run a risk of coming across as uninterested.

3) percieved potential. If ghost hunting became a billion dollar industry, and became the "in thing" then you're perceived value goes way up. As it is, it's probably a niche market, and probably doesn't make you a couple grand... so the stock goes down.

4) appearance

5) worth to them personally.

And it depends where you go. A friend of mine is absolutely convinced he will make a killing doing tarot readings in one of Florida's tourist traps.

Only time will tell. But already he's got at least three of these issues working for him. We'll see if it works.

I hope this gives you something to consider.

I wouldn't go telling a girl that I was a ghosthunter. Unless I already knew that girl had a genuine interest in the paranormal. If she's not into that sort of thing, it would probably have the same effect as telling her you're into comic books or cryptozoology. She'll just be like, WTF???

I would probably just say, that i was interested in the paranormal, and not elaborate to much on it if she asks about it. Keep it mysterious.

Make is sound not overly serious at first. "I'm hanging with the ghostbusters."

Women are way more into paranormal stuff than men, have you considered going to paranormal fairs to get women into it?

Also, if a girl is finding out on a first date about your job and 2 other interests, make sure there is a balance between the three. If your daytime profession is of the responsible, boring or well paid sort, you can have an outlandish hobby with that. (Accountant, skydiver, yoga)It also depends on the sort of chick you are trying to pull. If nerdy girls are what you want, there is nothing wrong with being a computer programmer who likes to read fantasy/scifi.

Don't start or drop a particular hobby for the sake of getting chicks or lie about it because that is not worth it and won't work.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Dude if you are serious about it then don't just tell her about what you do, tell her all the crazy experiences you had with ghosts while hunting them and also take her with you to one of your ghost chasing. If you show her you take it seriously and make it fun for her then it will be great. I have yet to meet a chick who doesn't believe in ghosts in some capacity!! I remember someone posted a while back that he had sex in a cementary with some chick, so imagine how turned on they will be with you there.

Haha, it's cool - take her on an ghost hunting adventure with you!! Have a ghost meter that makes beeping sounds as you get closer to a paranormal happening - then point it at her and have the meter beep repeatedly!!

I do this with a girl on a first date...I bring along a technical device that looks "official" - I point it at her and make fast beeping noises with my mouth, "Beep, beep beep beep beep beep beep beep, beep beep beep beep beep beep" ...then she asks, "What is that?" and my response is, "It's a Hor meter locating device!" Which in turn she replies, "How did you know?" and I answer, "Elementary, you're an American female over 11 years old!!!"

I wouldn't be ashamed to tell a girl my hobbies. If she's got a problem with it, then forget her.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Why not tell her? It's not as if she comes across guys who hunt ghosts as a hobby every day. Well, maybe on their Playstation but that's not quite the same thing. :p
