What do groups of girls mean when they say that?

I've always wondered if it ever meant anything. Every so often I walk by a gorup of girls and then one of them will say "MY friend needs a boyfriend, will you be her boyfriend?" or "My friend thinks you're cute." Now before I accepted DJing I never took it as anything and kinda ignored it. But today I had such an incident and I kinda just played along with it. Do you guys think they are trying to hint at something, or they are just trying to embarass their friend.

Note: The situation is that I was playing a 5v5 basketball game and they were watching on the bench. I left after the game and then they followed me and made the comment. Any help is appreciated.

she thinks you're hot. when girls do that its usually because she does dig you, but for whatever reason she might not approach you (usually shy). only true beotches would do it for pure entertainment.

Sounds like ******** to me. Women say what they think through another object or person. If the girl saying "My friend thinks your hot." She may very well think your hot, if she doesn't have a BF and says "My friend needs a BF." Then reply "Well don't you need a BF?" See how she reacts to that. Either that or her friend is shy and using her to act as a go between.(Women are good at handling approaches, but approaching is a whole other ball game for them.)

Interesting, I understand what you mean by ********, cuz asking anything like the above is like saying "I think you should go out with my friend." Well I worked my game a little and then agreed to be her boyfriend, lol [playing along of course] cuz i play b-ball at a local summer tournament so they are always there. im gunna work for it though cuz she's pretty cute. thanks for the opinions.
