"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Alright, I have a friend who is completely fallen ONEitis for one of the most popular and dangerous girls at school (this should be high school forum, but I figured that you people have much more experience and wisdom). Now, my friend got a date set up with her, but he pissed her off a week and a half before it on AIM. After apologizing constantly (even though what he did was more tongue in cheek and not malicious or wrong), she has blocked him on AIM and is still very pissed off at him.

Nonetheless, my AFC homie decided to get her some Godiva, balloons, and a stuffed animal with an "I'm sorry card". I was not able to stop him from doing that, but I was able to get him to change it to a Valentine's theme barely mentioning the incident. Nonetheless, after this all out Valentine's, I think she'll look at him as a complete wuss and friend zone him permanently if she forgives him.

I know he's going to take a fall for this, but this guy is too stubborn to admit he's wrong sometimes. Just in case though, I need you're guys' incite and support. Please help me save of my friends from taking a major fall. Is he doing the right thing, or can it be made into the right thing to do? DJ's, an AFC and a great friend of mine needs your help.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Never apologise unless its REALLY serious!

This is as close to a rule as you can get with women. Women won't care about the actual apology but will think you weak for doing so. If you don't apologies, they'll call you a bastard but will respect you for not doing so.

Your friend sounds like he's blown it with this chick already. His best bet would be to ignore her and game other girls.

How much is this guy paying you to be his savior?

This is one of my best friends here, man. We've been homies 7 years. You don't care about your friends?
I care for them enough to respect their choices and not invoke my opinions upon them unless they ask for it. It's not my job to save them and feeling that they aren't capable to learn from their mistakes is insulting their character in my opinion.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Well said. If you really care about your friend, let him make the mistakes. It'll be better for him in the long run. Even if you save him now, he'll still commit the same mistakes in the future.
